Celebrations Galore & Free Dining too! A Sept 2012 PTR (TR started!)

I can't believe how close we're getting. I seriously can't sleep lately!

This made me think of how they could do a re-make of that infamous "too excited to sleep" commercial. The wife could be too excited to sleep and the husband could be like "Honey...we still have a few weeks!" :rotfl:

I bet the anticipation is so high right now! Oh man! I totally understand the excitement! I always tell Garret "Ahhhh I'm so excited we are finally going to Disney", usually at least once a day. And he's like "yeah, that'll be great...in 5 months!" :lmao:

Hahaha...that would be a great commercial!!!

It is very high. Tony asks me almost every day...."are you excited?" Like he has to ask me that!

Day 3- Thursday, Sept 20th

Today, we'll be heading to MK for EMH....one of our favorite things to do! We have always been able to experience all of Fantasyland in that extra hour. I think I'l head over to Peter Pan to grab FP's and then we'll head to Storybook Circus. We can't wait to see the new Dumbo! Madison has always been a fan of the Barnstormer and she's excited to see the new theming for the Great Goofini. We'd like to check out the Casey Jr. Spalsh and Soak area, but not on this day. No need to get soaked first thing!

After visiting Storybook Circus we'll head into Fantasyland for Mad Tea Party (I'll stay with Cole), Winnie the Pooh, Small World and use our FP's for Peter Pan (depending on the time). Makes me kind of sad that they closed Snow White, but I'm sure the new Mine Train coaster they're working on will more than make up for it!

After finishing Fantasyland, I'm not sure where we'll go next. Maybe over to Space Mountain and Buzz Lightyear. While we take turns riding Space with Madison, maybe we'll take Cole on the Peoplemover....love that ride! Maybe we'll have time for some jokes over at the Laugh Floor too. We love texting in our jokes and Tony's almost always gets picked!

Around 10am we'll make our way to the exits and walk over to the Contemporary. We have an ADR for Chef Mickey's at 10:30am! This will be our third trip in a row that we've had this exact plan. MK for EMH and then a late breakfast at Chef Mickey's. (we'll have to grab something small at the resort before we head out for the day)

After breakfast, we'll go back to POFQ to nap/swim. We love our midday breaks!!! :thumbsup2 After resting up, we'll be heading to Epcot for the afternoon/evening. I'd love to get another ride on Soarin, but who knows if any FP's will be left. It's ok though because the plan for this day is to tour World Showcase. We'll have been through FW the day before. I'd like to take pics of Madison (any maybe myself too) in hats from every country. I think that would be so cute! Not sure what we'll do for dinner...definately counter service somewhere. Madison is not very adventurous when it comes to eating, so who knows where we'll end up. We love Sunshine Seasons, but I don't want to back track into FW.

I would love to stay for IllumiNations this night. It's such an amazing show and the music gives me goosebumps (I listen to it in my car all the time). I'm really hoping Cole isn't freaked out by fireworks! He's never seen them before!

Outfit Time!

Outfits for me and Madison...perfect for Chef Mickey's!

014-6.jpg

Cole's outfits...Mickey shirt for MK/Chef Mickey's and the London t-shirt for Epcot. He wore that shirt once during the Olympics. So cute!

I have a 5K tomorrow morning and it's supposed to rain. :worried: Not looking forward to that! I haven't even gone for a run since my last race....I've been to preoccupied with all this trip stuff. Then, Madison is dancing in a show tomorrow evening. With Irish dancing, there are always events looking for dancers. It's pretty cool!

We'll be at Epcot all day Thursday:banana:! That's the night we plan on seeing Illuminations, too (or at least whoever isn't grumpy will...anyone fussing gets a monorail back to the Poly!)! Would be so fun to bump into each other!

Love your outfits!! I think you already commented on mine, but we'll be at MK that morning for EMH as well!

I have been stalking the "Lines" app like crazy and Soarin' had a 5-10 minute wait all day yesterday! I thought it was messed up but people were commenting on the really low waits on the trip planning forum yesterday. Also, the fastpass time was like 20 minutes after you pulled it! So unless you get there at like 8:30, I don't think you should have a problem getting a FP, unless the crowds increase alot in the next week. :thumbsup2

Love your outfits! We'll be at MK on the 20th, but that's our tour day. I'll look for you in the morning! :wave2: Good luck in the 5K tomorrow!

Yay!!! Hahaha....love the monorail comment. I think Cole should be able to make it to IllumiNations....he'll take a nap in the afternoon which should help.

Thanks! I love MK EMH!!!

I haven't looked at the app since earlier this week. The wait times have been low though. Fingers crossed it stays that way!

Thank you! I've always wanted to take a tour, but Madison just isn't old enough yet for a lot of them. Now that he have another little guy, it's going to be awhile before we get a chance!

Thanks....I need all the luck I can get! This is the first 5k I'm doing alone. At least one of my parents have run with me in my past races. (not side by side, but at least in the same race).

Sounds like a fun day!

I love that you and Madison are both wearing Minnie shirts to Chef Mickey's. :) So cute. And I love Cole's London shirt.

Good luck at your 5K!

Great plan Meghan! I like how you split your park with the late breakfast ADR in the middle. Eating breakfast as "brunch" works well for us too. :thumbsup2

Wow, you are really on a roll here!

Again, love the outfits, I think this is so adorable that you and the kids have outfits to match each park. I usually try to do something similar, not as detailed or coordinated as yours, and it's just for myself, no other takers in my house:confused3.

Nothing better than starting the day at MK!

I love our shirts too....perfect for Chef Mickey's.

Thanks!

Thank you. We are very big breakfast eaters and having brunch really works well for us.

I'm trying to get all of my park plans and outfits posted before we leave! :rotfl: I'm going to try to post the rest of my daily plans every other day.

Sometimes we don't really coordinate very well with the outfits. Day 3 just happens to work out that way! :thumbsup2 Now I'm just hoping my DH doesn't wear something that totally clashes with us!

great plan for the day & cute outfits!!! Love the London shirt!!!!
Hope your run goes well and Madi enjoys her dancing!

Your day sounds so great. That is completely BRILLIANT to get to the parks early and then go to a breakfast. I don't know why I hadn't thought of that. I always worry about getting done with breakfast in time for opening. WHY DO IT THAT WAY?! Smart girl! :thumbsup2

I remember reading about your MK then Chef Mickey's brunch breaks! Some things work too well not to become traditions!
Mmm, the counter service selections in the WS are so good! If Madison isn't too adventurous, there is always Liberty Inn. Not too exciting, but lots of indoor seating.

When I went with my mom in Feb I discovered the CS place in China. I had beef and broccoli with rice and it was soooo good! We never explore the CS places in the WS much other than Mexico. I was happy I found something new and yummy!

Hope you didn't get caught in that hard rain this morning! :)

Thanks! They had a bunch of cute "Olympic" themed shirts at Target over the summer and that was one of them.

The run was pretty good!

You should give it a try next time! Grab a quick snack in the room or from the food court, get to your park by opening and then get brunch!

Exactly! We love Chef Mickey's too. The walk to the Contemporary is nice too...much faster than the monorail.

I always forget about Liberty Inn!!!

Tony is a very picky Chinese food eater and Madison won't even try it. I'd like to try Morocco....I've read their menu and I'm intrigued.

It actually stopped raining right around race time and it only sprinkled while I was running.

5K Update

I had my 5K this morning and I'm pleased to say I came in 2nd in my age group!!!! I even got a cool medal!!! There wasn't a huge turnout but a medal is a medal!!!
