Celebrations Galore & Free Dining too! A Sept 2012 PTR (TR started!)

I know I just posted yesterday, but I'm just so excited about my outfits that I couldn't resist posting again. That and the fact that I only have 2 weeks until we leave!!! I cannot believe we'll be in WDW in just 14 days. So exciting!!!

Day 2-Wednesday, Sept 19th

We'll be starting our day with Rope Drop at our favorite park; Epcot! We will walk with the crowd over to The Land and Soarin'. Normally we grab FP's and then get in the standby line. This year, we'll have to get Rider Swap passes. Maybe we'll grab regular FP's too and Tony or I could ride alone. I'm sure we'll figure it all out once we're there. While Tony rides Soarin' with Madison, I'll either ride Living with the Land or Nemo with Cole. Maybe we'll even go see Figment...anything where we can walk right on and have a nice ride.

After we get our Soarin' fill, we'll probably ride SE. We love SE and I can't wait to see Cole's little head on those big bodies in our "future" video. So funny! We will need to start heading over to the International Gateway around 10am or so. We have an ADR at Cape May Cafe at 10:30am...yum!

After our late breakfast we will either hang at Epcot for a little bit or go right back to POFQ. Gotta get in our swim/nap times! :thumbsup2 We love having some down time in the middle of the day. After some relaxation at the resort, we'll be going to DHS for the afternoon/evening. I know TSMM will be out of the question. I'd like to take Cole to the Disney Junior show, Madison can't wait to check out the new Star Tours, Tony will want to ride RNRC and I just want to get on ToT. I couldn't ride any thrill rides on our last trip because I was pregnant with Cole. We might try to see Indy again....it had rained the last time we saw it so Madison has never seen the airplane scene.

We also want to draw some pics at the Animation Academy and we have yet to meet Sorcerer Mickey. Maybe we'll take a ride on the Great Movie Ride this evening too. DHS is only open until 8pm, so we'll have limited time. We won't be staying for Fantasmic...getting out of that theater made me almost have a panic attack, so we'll wait until Cole is older to see it again.

Outfit Time!

011-11.jpg

Outfits for me and Madison. I thought that my tank looked kind of nautical and would fit in nicely at the BC.

012-12.jpg

Outfits for Cole. He'll wear the crab muscle tank to Epcot/BC and the Jake t-shirt to DHS.

Madison started school today and I can't believe it's her last year of elementary school. Time goes by too fast!!! I did take a picture, but only on my phone. My camera battery was dead (maybe too many outfit pics). :( She had a great day, so that was good. Cole and I ran a bunch of errands after we dropped her off. It was a gorgeous morning but of course it started pouring rain right before dismissal. Not fun. Things are slowly getting crossed off my to do list which makes me happy. :thumbsup2

Before I leave this post, I wanted to post my crazy collection of flip flop

I had forgotton about these pairs...they were downstairs by the front door

Your second day sounds awesome!

I had a good giggle over the photos of all the flip flops, and no longer feel badly about my flip flop/sandal collection.

Oh my, that is quite the collection of flip flops!!

Your day 2 sounds fun! I bet you're looking forward to the thrill rides this time!

Your first two days sound great! I love your top for Animal Kingdom-- where's it from? We also love going to DTD on our first day-- can't wait to hear about Raglan Road! The menu looks so good.
I honestly don't think Fantasmic is worth those leaving crowds, so I wouldn't mind having to put it off for a few years. All of the pictures I've seen of the Disney Jr show make it look so cute-- I bet Cole will love it.

Hahaha....I love flip flops!!!! :thumbsup2

I know...it's quite a sight to see.

I sure am looking forward to all the thrill rides. If only Test Track was going to be open....I'm so bummed about it.

Your first two days look so great! And your outfits are perfect!! I'm sure if you got bored (and less busy) one day you could create an outfit-picking WDW blog and people would pay you to help them! YOU ARE SO GOOD AT IT!

Man, I cannot believe how close you are!! I'm so excited for you! AHHH I just can't wait to hear all about it!

didnt you do a flip flop picture a year or so ago?:rotfl2: I know you have tons of ON flip flops!!!!! Love your outfits for the day!! Cape May has a great breakfast..it is my favorite~ I am not a big breakfast girl, but the fruit, granola, and yogurt station is the best!!!! I am glad you got things crossed off the LIST today...I know you are glad she had a good first day! I cannot believe you are at the 2 week mark!!

2 weeks! Okay, actually less than that today!! :)

Day 2 sounds good but I think you are forgetting 2 meals! (or at least some snacks!)

I'm a bit behind as always, but I'm all caught up :thumbsup2 Your agency trip looked amazing. I have never visited Boardwalk. It is now on our list. This is mostly because of all the yummy cupcakes and sweets I have seen from Boardwalk Bakery lol.

I still love how you coordinate your outfits with where you will be heading that day, I'm sure it will make for great pictures again. I love Cole's I'm going to Disney shirt. I contemplated getting one for lo but haven't yet. I'm really excited to see the kids all dressed up in their Halloween costumes. I am sure they will look adorable....I just love when there is a theme or siblings coordinate. I used to have a TON of flip flops but the last few years I have been throwing more away than I have been buying I think I am down to 5 now.

How are your 5ks going? I am thinking about signing up for one in the next few weeks to see how much my time is improved.

I can't believe your trip is so soon. Makes me sad that we are waiting until November this time.

Thanks! My AK shirt is from Old Navy...it's only available online. It's so comfy!

DTD is just so much fun and really gets you into a Disney spirit. We're really looking forward to Raglan Road!

Those Fantasmic crowds make me nuts!!!

Thanks Kimmy! Aw, you're too sweet! I would love to help people pick their Disney outfits. I know it's vacation, but you can still look cute!

I can't believe how close we're getting. I seriously can't sleep lately!

I did do a flip flop pic 2 years ago. I still have a lot of those ones but quite a few new ones too. ON actually takes old flip flops and recycles them! I don't know if it was just a summer thing, but it's nice that they find a way to reuse them.

We loved Cape May 2 years ago...same great breakfast food as Chef Mickey's, but not as loud and busy. The characters came around a few times too because it wasn't very crowded.

2 weeks! Okay, actually less than that today!! :)

Hahaha...I just list our official ADR's. We'll grab a CS dinner on Day 2 while we're at DHS. With that late breakfast we won't need lunch. We bring granola bars and stuff with us, but sometimes we grab a bagel and muffin and share them in the room. Gotta get some energy for the morning! We do plenty of snacking too. :thumbsup2

The Boardwalk is a great place to visit and is full of life at night. You should check it out!

Aw, thanks! I got the idea from a fellow DISer.

The yellow t-shirts came in the mail yesterday, so I need to drop those off to my mom so she can get Cole's costume together. I can't wait to see it!

I have a serious love of flip flops. They are just so comfortable and easy to slip on.

I actually have a 5k on Saturday! I haven't run in awhile, so we'll see how I end up doing.

Hey Meghan! I think I'm all caught up on your TR!
Reading your day plans has made me so excited about going! :goodvibes
Looking at your bin and clothes is making me realize that I need to get my stuff together soon!

I think Madison will enjoy EE. Lexi was Madi's age the last time we went to Disney. We went in Sept of their 5th grade year! Lexi rode EE for the 1st time then, but she kept her eyes closed. Lexi was just saying yesterday that she wanted to keep them open this time.

I hope Madison gets to dance at Raglan Road, that would be so awesome for her & priceless for you! I can't read to read about RR in your TR.
I really like your striped shirt that you are wearing to Chef Mickeys and I LOVE, LOVE both yours & Madi's shirts that ya'll are wearing to AK!

I remember when L&L were in 5th grade. I was so sentimental because it was their last year of elementary school. Enjoy this year, she will be boy crazy next year!! :)

I love your plans!!! That's so exciting that you are getting so close:goodvibes

Your outfits are just adorable. I loved when the kids were small and I could dress them all cute:lovestruc.

I cannot believe one person owns that many flip flops:lmao: Your the Imelda Marcos of flip flops!! Do you take them all with you? That must require a full suitcase on its own!

Cute outfits and great plans for Day 2!
I bet you don't have any outfits that you don't have flip flops to match!! I wish I could wear them - it'd be so much cheaper on the shoe budget - but I need arch support and can't have a rubber thing between my toes. The only flip flops I can manage are Teva Mush. They work okay.

Cape May Breakfast is so yummy and the characters are so cute in their beach wear!!

Glad to hear Madison had a good first day. Last year when Sarah was in 5th grade we did a lot of "the last time" things since it was the last year of elementary school. Big changes for her this year!

I still have so much to do and it's making me panic!!!

I really hope she decided to go on EE; I think she'll love it! She likes BTMRR and I feel like they're very similar; except EE goes backwards. She will probably keep her eyes closed if she rides it. That's what she does on Space Mtn which is so odd. It's dark in there to begin with!

I hope she gets to dance too. It would make her day!

Thanks! The striped shirt is actually for Cape May Cafe...I do have a striped shirt for Chef Mickey's though too! :thumbsup2

I feel like it was just yesterday that she started kindergarden...where has the time gone?! I really hope she doesn't become boy crazy!!! :scared1: I didn't get like that until high school. She doesn't even like any boy bands or Justin Bieber (thank goodness!). She really is all about school work, reading, spy stuff (I think she's bought every spy gear toy from Target), dancing....no room for boys!

I love your plans!!! That's so exciting that you are getting so close:goodvibes

Thank you! Picking out Disney clothing is one of the best parts of planning.

Hahaha....it is a lot but it could be worse! At least flip flops are cheap...that's why I tell my DH all the time. I DO NOT take them all with me! No way! I just match them to my outfits and those ones come with us. I usually have 4-5 pairs for each trip.

Thanks Sheree! You know what's weird about my flip flops, I really only wear a few pairs over the summer. I mostly wear white, black and tan....neutrals. But when it comes to Disney, I like to match.

We love Cape May! The theming is so cute and we love the characters beach wear.

She had a wonderful day and couldn't wait to get back. She truly loves school. This will be a year of "lasts" for sure. Makes me sad!

Yay! Outfit posts! I love your black & white top for day 1. You're going to wear that on the plane?? I freeze on plans so I'm wearing pants, a tank, and a hoodie! I'll change once we get to the resort.

You're smart not to want to ride a bus soaking wet. I got caught in a rainstorm once coming out of Typhoon Lagoon. I was already dried off for the day and then it started downpouring and I was dripping wet when I got on the bus. There was a puddle in my seat, I was so soaked! I was shivering the whole way back to the resort. Those buses are cold!

Looking forward to more posts. I think Kris is going out to watch the football game tonight so maybe I'll outfit plan tonight!

Great update Meghan! Your day sounds great. I booked the same time slot Cape May Cafe and remember you saying how much you enjoyed it. I'm excited! :thumbsup2

LOVE your flip flops. I could live in them year round if it didn't snow! ;)

Thanks! I'll have a zip up hoodie with me on the plane. I wore a tank on the plane in August and I was sweating! The planes I was on were way too warm.

I don't like getting head to toe soaked unless I'm in a bathing suit. I don't think I'll ever ride Kali River Rapids!

Good idea!

Thank you! Cape May is super yummy...you're going to love it!

I could too! I live in them from about April until Sept/Oct...depends on when it gets chilly. From there, I move to my moccasins (like Madison's that I just bought her) and then to my Uggs. That's pretty much it for my footwear! If it's a very rainy day, I have cute black and white polka dot rain boots!
