I am thinking about trying to book a some sort of cruise to watch Illuminations. Does anyone know how much more the celebration cruise is compared to the normal illumination cruise? (looking for the smallest pontoon boat). I have tried to find an answer but all I seem to find is that the celebration portion can be added on, but not how much it costs.

Additionally, if you have done either of these did you find it worth it?

TIA!

I wasn't aware there was more than one option for a cruise at Epcot, I think they are all the same, but of course I've been wrong before... Lol
But, to answer your other question, yes, we've done a Illuminations Cruise. It was outstanding! Our captain had all kinds of soda and snacks for us, and a sign! (it was our anniversary). He was incredibly kind, and had a lot of knowledge about WDW, and we had a remarkable time.
I would absolutely do it again.

By celebration portion do you mean the banners and balloons? If so, those are included in the cost. I have one booked for April and the cost was $334 for the 10 person pontoon. When we booked they were eager to add on a celebration and told us about the various options for banners. The cost of the cruise also includes snacks (bags of chips, cookies, etc) and soda. Additional food and beverages are available as an add-on purchase.

Ah okay so the celebration part is just a free add on. That makes senes! I figured that was the case but every article I read would be like read more about celebration cruises here and then never mention if it cost extra lol So I imagine just if you wanted cake or champagne would be extra?

You got it. When we’ve done cruises in the past we always order pizza and wine but they have other foods too.

When we went on our Illuminations cruise our captain told us we could grab wine or beer from The Yacht Club. We aren't drinkers, but he was absolutely fine with us if we had wanted to BYOB.
I'm sure if you brought a bottle of champagne and glasses, they would not care. You can always ask prior to boarding.

Illuminations cruise is $334.52 with an AP discount. I should know - I have 3 booked for the EPIC May trip!

I did the Illuminations cruise about a year ago.
I did enjoy it however last month I did the FEA dessert party and while I was very disappointed and dissatisfied with the fact that FEA was down I will admit it gave the most amazing view of Illuminations I've ever had the pleasure of seeing.
So to be honest if your main objective is the view then I'd go with the dessert party instead of a cruise.

Honestly Im going it for more of the experience than the viewing. But thats good to know that the dessert party offers a better view!

I should also add I feel you get much more for your money if you're into desserts/alcohol/the ride.. (if its not down)
The cruise just had things like chips, coke, cookies... I know you can add actual food for a fee but we opted not to.
