I know we rush for TSM's FPs and then we eat breakfast at Starring Rolls... loved it.. (the little cafe just before the strip before TT)..

D is just adorable... DH and I were talking... will send you an email about our return... maybe we could do a dollywood layover...that way D can take us to his stompin' grounds of park fun!!

We love Starring Rolls, too! Determined to get a cupcake there this time! Ooh, that sounds fun!! Send me an email!

30 Days Til Disney!!


This past Tuesday (the 1st) was our 30 Days Til Disney Day! I am SO excited! For some reason, this is when it starts really seeming “close” to me!

This is testing week for me, so I’ve been a little stressed, but we managed to have a good party night!

Here are D and I getting ready to put the “30” square on the countdown calendar before work/school!

After work, I set up everything for our “Cars Party”. The centerpiece:

The menu was one of D’s faves:

Before dinner, though, we had our “activity”. . .go out and drive Lightning McQueen around the neighborhood!

After we convinced D to come back inside, we ate dinner and watched the “Run Down Race Car” episode of “Doc McStuffins” (YES, there is an episode that goes with EVERYTHING!) And then we finished off the celebration with these:

It was a great night, and we are SO excited to now be under 30 days til Disney!!

AHHHHH. . .CHANGES!!

As you can obviously tell from the PTR so far, I am a planner. I am a detail person, and we don’t make many changes to the plan once we’ve made it.

However, last week, we made what, for us, was a big change! On Thursday, Brian and I were talking on the way to work (we go 25 miles in separate directions, so we talk on the phone on the way there). D was in the back, watching a Caillou movie and trying to decide if he would actually wake up before we got to his school.

Brian and I were talking about the driving all night thing and how that still makes me so nervous. I don’t like to sleep knowing he’s driving and staying awake by himself, but I also know I have to sleep so that someone’s rested to play with D when we get there.

So. . . after talking the topic to death for the 100 millionth time, we arrived at our destinations. About an hour later, Brian called me and said, “I’m looking at flights online. Pull up the budget sheet really quick, and let’s talk this through”.

After about a 15 minute discussion. . .we’re FLYING to WDW!!! We will now leave at 7:15 am on Thursday, May 31 and arrive at MCO at 8:49 am. We were lucky and were able to catch a flight for about what I had budgeted for gas. I will have to add in a little bit of $, since we will have to take a cab from VWL to Universal and back (anyone have any experience with that?) but other than that, we’re good!

I called that afternoon and added our Magical Express, so that should be arriving maybe sometime this week! We are SOOOOOOOO excited! No more nerves about driving overnight, everyone can sleep, and as D says:

“MOMMMMMMMA, we get to go on the AIRRRRRPLANE and then ride a BIG BUS!!!!!”

Looking forward to this new part of our adventure!!

we took a cab from POP to Discovery Cove and was about $25 each way, not sure what the distance was

We're very excited! The flight that Brian found had dropped in price $700 (total for the 3 of us) from when I looked at it last month!! Lisa, thanks for the cab info! I wasn't sure how that would work!!

I don't know if it was a glitch or if they had seats open up, but I was happy!! Prices everywhere else had been climbing!!

Day 7 Dining:

We usually do the Disney Junior breakfast at Hollywood and Vine, but last time, it wasn’t very good (it usually is!), so we opted to skip that this time. I was glad we did that when hours came out and it was an EMH morning.

We’ll probably have breakfast in the room before we head out!

Midmorning, we’re definitely going to get a snack at Starring Rolls. Those cupcake pics I have seen on here tell me that those cupcakes are calling my name!

For lunch, we’ll head to one of our two favorite DHS places. Either Toy Story Pizza Planet

Or at Backlot Express. We love the food at both!

After a nap/rest time, we are headed back to the Magic Kingdom for a “yummy in our tummy” dinner at Crystal Palace!

Need I mention that I will be having shrimp, shrimp, and more shrimp here too??

I love this meal and seeing our 100-Acre Wood Friends!

Definitely looking forward to this fun day!
