Celebrating my Un-Birthday Disney Style-April 2010-New 5/3 - The TR has started!

Uggg... I had all my replies written up and poof... it happened again! :badpc:

Great updates!! Love your Epcot 2009 pics!! It looks like you had a great trip!! :thumbsup2

Your plans look great!! Your wishlist sounds very similar to ours this trip. The character connection/Kim Possible and finally seeing Illuminations are all at the top of our list.;)

I've heard such great things about Teppan Edo...I would love to try it!! The boat ride in Mexico is so relaxing...it's actually one of DS favorite rides!!!:goodvibes

I'm glad to hear Donald's boat ride is relaxing... Zach is always looking for "calm" places. :hippie:

Teppan Edo...always a hit!

:ssst: We haven't seen Illuminations for a few years, either!! Sometimes it's good to not get burned out on the nighttime entertainment... makes it seem all fresh and new, especially to the kids!

That's the spirit!! And you've got this ADR as your back-up, so you're okay!

It's so hard to see them all the way they time the shows... hopefully they will add more performances if they're expecting a spring break crowd!

Bring on the shopping! :woohoo: And we need pix!!

Kathy

I'm really happy with how this itinerary is coming together. :thumbsup2 It's funny how we stress over getting park hours, TGM's Least Crowded Charts and making itineraries before ADR day. Then we go and change it several times before we come out with a final version that makes us happy. :rolleyes1

Ok first...WOW...

your trip is under 3 Months now..... :cool1: :woohoo: :dance3:

Ok I just realized I had typed fanny back...I am the worst typist...:upsidedow

Ok when Michael, Mae, and Margaret and I looked this past March, they were all over the Norway pav. by windows on roofs, on ledges...we found several not all but a good bit...good luck!

I agree Amy...that is a great picture...Matt and I have a similar one form '08 too.

I have an ironing hubby too....though the pile get's sometimes big...he still does a better job than me.

looking forward to it...what fun! popcorn::

J~

Yay for under 3 months!! :cool1: I agree with you there!

Fanny back! :rotfl2: I saw that but didn't want you to feel bad... I'm sure I've done funny typos like that too.

OK - So it must have been your TR that made me think the trolls were all over Norway. We'll definitely be on the lookout for more of them this year. ::yes::

Again... jealous of another ironing hubby.

now I am laughing at myself even more...how many times can I say "OK" in one post...:rotfl2:

:lmao: I use... (dot, dot, dot) too much! I just can't help myself... ;)...

Your detailed plans look great Amy! How are the play areas during the Flower and Garden Festival??? Will it be a nice little play break for my kids?? I am really excited to see the Butterfly Garden, we have one at a local zoo and everyone I talk to thinks it wonderful! One more question, what age is the Kim Possible Mission geared towards?? I am wondering if that is something Gabe could be interested in!! Thanks in advance for your advice!!!:worship:

We haven't visited any of the F&G play areas, but I've seen them in a couple trip reports and wished we had. They look like a good break for the kids.

As far as Kim Possible - Zach loved it at 5 1/2. I had to do some reading for him, but he pushed the buttons and followed the clues. There are some great interactive elements. Without giving too much away, there's one in Japan that when you press a certain button on the phone, water trickles down a little waterfall. And there were several more surprises! Very fun!! You should try at least one mission. If you do more than one mission, you might find yourself zig zagging all over the WS. I would plan for one and see how it goes.

Now I'm going to copy this before it goes poof again! :headache:

Ever since I saw the 2010-2011 school calendar and discovered that April vacation won't work for us next year I've had this thought going through my head that I'll be planning our next trip sooner than expected. :scratchin

So with February 2011 in the back of my head I was reading something somewhere (I'm sure it was here on the DIS) about parking prices, which are up to $14/day. That's $86 to put in the budget to park our car! Then I heard something about the Tables in Wonderland card. I'd heard about this card before, but never paid much attention since it's only available to Florida Residents or Annual Passholders. It costs $75 and provides a 20% discount on food AND beverages at participating restaurants. It looks like Teppan Edo is the only TS restaurant we are eating at that doesn't participate. There are even a few CS restaurants on the list, including Flame Tree BBQ. We always eat at Flame Tree!!

 Maybe one of us should get an AP this year! (Me, me, me... please pick me! :hyper:) We'd save the $86 that we would have to pay for parking (plus parking next year). We'd be able to get the TIW card (that we could use this year and next year) and that person (me!) would have a ticket for next year.

If we go back to WDW in Febraury 2011, buying an AP is a fantastic deal! If we don't... then I have to crunch the numbers some more to see if it's worth it or not. I'll also have my Give a Day voucher to apply to the cost. :thumbsup2

Oh... and I brought this idea up to Tim tonight to see if he'd roll his eyes at me, tell me I'm crazy or just walk away... He did none of the above! (That's a good sign.) I'm sure he could care less if I buy an AP or a TIW card, but I wanted to see his reaction to the idea of going back in February next year. ;) He didn't say, go for it, but he didn't think I was crazy either! I'll share the numbers with him the next time we go out to dinner. Timing is everything. :rolleyes1

And finally... Tim is jumping in the ocean again this Sunday. It's the Penguin Plunge to benefit Special Olympics NH. Alex & Zach both swim on our local Special Olympics team. The expected temperature at Hampton Beach is 26 degrees! :cold: The water temperature is in the 40s. I'll post pictures after he plunges!

I'm going to go watch Lost & crunch some numbers. I'll keep you all posted.

have fun crunching numbers! I've been doing the same today....

Although sadly it doesn't involve an AP!

Do NOT tell me anything about LOST....;)

Sounds like getting the AP will be good in the long run....:thumbsup2

I use... (dot, dot, dot) too much! I just can't help myself... ;)...

I read that and thought, "You're preachin' to the choir!"
I am probably the Queen of the ... !

Eeek!!

Happy number-crunching!

Kathy

Don't forget about the discount you would have at the World of Disney if you were to become an AP holder. ;)

I watched Lost last night, and I feel like I now have even more questions than answers which is par for the course, I guess.

Good luck to Tim this weekend -- I get cold chills just reading about the temperature.

I think it's a great idea. :thumbsup2 And timing IS everything. ;)

Good luck to Tim in the penguin plunge! :scared1:

I thought Lost was very good last night, but definitely even more confusing than ever. :rotfl:

Woo-Hoo! Just the sound of "AP holder" sounds exciting! Sounds like some number crunching is in order!

I loved LOST last night....lots of questions of course, but finally a few answers. Can't wait to see how the season unfolds!

Good luck to Tim in the FRIGID water! YIKES!

Nothing to tell... I recorded it so I got a late start... I made it through the first hour/recap show, then fell asleep 30 minutes into the season premiere. Gonna go watch now!

:rotfl: Love the ...!

Hey, number crunch away! The TIW and APs worked for us! :thumbsup2

I guess it depends how certain we are about a trip in February. If we go, it will DEFINITELY be worth it for one of us. ::yes::

Oh... that's right - shopping discounts!! :cool1: I didn't plan any DTD time, but since we'll have a car it'll be easy enough to "swing by". ;) The kids don't have patience for shopping. Maybe on date night. :scratchin

Wait a minute! I brought it up... what am I going to be? The evil ... stepsister?

Don't worry, I'll definitely have an AP in 2012!

so what did you think of LOST?

I loved it, but am totally confused in a good way.

I'm glad this is the last season because I need answers! Though I will miss it.

I was happy that they shed some light on the black smoke, but I'm still confused... :confused3

And are they living in two parallel universes at the same time? :confused3

Overall I thought it was great - as usual!

There was something off about the rebooted plane flight. desmond? where was shannon? hurley saying he was the luckiest guy in the world....I think it's not parallel universes, but I don't know what it could be.....:confused3

Loving it...cried AGAIN when Juliet died.

I know... It's odd! And where's Jack's Dad? :confused3

Loving it...cried AGAIN when Juliet died.

So sad... :sad1: I guess they should have taken her to the temple too.
