I just the last 90 minutes typing our fiasco at SSR and our waterpark day. it was a long update and just as I hit reply the power went out in our house. Of course it went right back on a second later but I lost all of my post. This is of course the one time I didn't use word. So I'll need to retype it all again later today.

Hi everyone.
I'll try and have that update typed up again tomorrow on Word this time . I had a busy weekend with Kaylee's recital. Sunday we went out with friends on their boat all day. Today and Tomorrow i'll be playing catch up on housework, laundry, and of course trip reports.

Just joining in on your TR! I love the pictures of SSR. It seems like there's a lot of people on the DIS who don't like it but I LOVE it! Maybe because it's our home resort.

That is really gross about the pool.

I've lurked on your other TR's and had to join in this time! I hope your fiasco at SSR wasn't too terrible!
That is one resort that has NEVER appealed to me...perhaps because I live in Southeast New York and Saratoga is only a couple of hours away? It would be an un-vacation!

I'm majorly bummed right now. When we got back from Disney Thomas got birthday money from his grandpa's. Of course there was one toy he really wanted more than anything but we didn't spend $129 on a robot R2D2 . This morning I finally called to order him since he waits for UPS truck every afternoon. Well they couldn't find the SKU# and had to call me back. The CM calls back and says the reason is you can't phone order it right now because it's on sale in the park and DTD. When you spend $40 on merchandise he is only $60 . I told her there are plenty of things we want so that would be great! There is no way they can do phone orders for R2D2 and she had no idea how long the sale would be until the sale is over. Thomas is a bit sad. Thanks for reading my vent.

If I wasn't so swamed with kids activities and a sick dad in NJ that I may have to visit really soon, i would just drive down there for the weekend . I know totally crazy. I might try that, sometimes a different CM makes a difference . I even said I would pay full price for it.

Thanks so much shipping wouldn't be a problem because we would have had to have it shipped anyway. I have good news, I had my hubby call back and he got a different CM and she said to pick some stuff from the website for $40 and then we would be able to order R2D2 and have him shipped. The total was only $122 with shipping which is less than he was full price.

Thanks so much for the offer ,. If it didn't work out then I would have worked out good. I would even have thrown in extra $$ for your time and trouble. I took Mickeystoontown's advice and had Tom call back and see if he gets a different answer. Well he got a different CM, the one I spoke with was getting so mad because she couldn't the SKU # in the computer. She wasn't in a magical mood I guess. Anyway when he called they had us go online and pick from the whopping 100 items listed online so that we would be able to order R2D2 for $60. I even ended up getting a 2009 photo album . So happy it worked out and hopefully Thomas will have him in 5-7 days.

Well we ended up getting him for the $60 with $40 purchase and just had to pay shipping. It worked out great getting a different CM . Kaylee has to wait until we go back to get her Figment backpack but hopefully well get back within the year. She's hoping for a mom/daughter trip .

Thanks Becky . It might sound silly but Thomas absolutely loved this toy when we saw him in DTD. He also said they had him in the Star Tours gift shop.

Thanks for waiting for my update. life has been sort of crazy lately. The kids don't have too much things to do this week so I will try and update more. Also today my dad called me from the hospital. He has been really sick off and on for the last 2 months and this week was really bad. He has stomach issue and a few other things I won't get into on here . Anyway there is a possibility that I might have to fly up to NJ for a few days. Hoping it's not during a week when Kaylee has dance everyday and Thomas has swim. Grand ma will have to watch the kids wile Tom is at work. I have to say I'm a bit worried traveling alone and leaving my precious babies even for a couple days. On to the update .

DAY 2 Saratoga fiasco & Blizzard Beach…..

This is the only day we didn’t have and early wake up call, I set it for 9 am but still we were all awake by 7:30. Tommy went to get our tea and coffee from Artist Palette. I asked him if he would mind checking us in and getting our new room cards with the DDP on them since he would be going there anyway. It was a nice sunny day outside. If I had known it would be our only nice day I would have went to MK this day.

Well he calls about 30 minutes later telling me we don’t have the dining plan and somebody made a mistake. Now mind you he is really annoyed because the only thing he likes to do at Disney is eat. The front desk person told him he needed to call member services. Well we can’t call member services since we are not members. So I told him that was okay I had the member’s phone number and email with me in the binder. Only I go in the binder and my index cards with the DVC member info on are missing. Turns out it fell out at home when someone knocked my binder over. I found it on the floor when we got home. Tom asked at the concierge desk if we could use a computer so that I could get the information off my email. Only they said no and that we would have to go over to the business center at Swan/ Dolphin or Boardwalk. Great since we don’t even have our car there .

Tommy then told me we are never renting points again! Of course I’m still pretty sure the DVC member did add my DDP because he sent me a confirmation of my room type, DDP and ME info. Tom decides the plan is for him to go to Swan and use the business center. but the worst part is he is not going to take a cab. He is going to bus to HS and then boat to The Swan. Yes he is too cheap to take a darn cab. The kids and I were going to get ready and then go to Blizzard Beach. Tom would meet us when he got the mess straightened out.

The kids and I get ready for BB and packed the backpack. Then we wait for the bus about 25 minutes. Luckily it drops us off first instead of going to AK first. We arrive right when the park opens and go rent a locker. Then we go find chairs near the wave pool ,lots of choices this early in the morning.

The first slide of the day was Teamboat Springs. We hadn’t been on it since 2003and that was before Thomas. It was so fun and Thomas loved it and wanted to go again. I told him we would ride again later when dad got there. Climbing all those stairs was no easy task. Next the kids really want to go in the Ski Patrol area. Thomas wanted to walk on the “ice cubes” . Kaylee and Thomas had so much fun in this area. Kay tried out the zip line and thought it was awesome. We did all slides in this area.

Then we went back to our chairs and played in the wave pool for a bit. I called Tom on the cell. He had called the DVC member but didn’t get and answer so he emailed him to tell him about our situation. He was on his way back to SSR and then hopefully to BB.

Since we had time before lunch we walked up to toboggan racers. I wasn’t sure if Thomas would want to try it or not but he did. He thought it was so fun and loved that the cm gave him a head start down the hill. Here is picture from the internet since I don't have one.



Then we walked back to our chairs and Tom walked up at the same time as us. It turned out that is was the front desk cm’s mistake at SSR. I was not surprised. Our DDP was on our reservation she just didn’t print out the right room cards after she checked us in. Tom and I were not happy that we had to be aggravated. And that Tom spent half the day running around to use a computer since apparently they don’t have one at SSR. Then wasted $20 to use the business center. He planned to talk to the manager later that day and also he called the DVC member back to tell him everything was fine.

We were all hungry so we picked Lottawatta Lodge for lunch. On the way there we Thomas saw Goofy out front. Only I didn’t buy their autograph books yet. But he instead on seeing him anyway. I took Kaylee to the first aid to get band aids since she got blisters from the water shoes. Then we finally had lunch. Thomas got a kids meal with the little pail and shovel. Tom and Kaylee shared and adults size chicken fingers and fries meal. I got the chicken wrap. Everything was pretty good. I didn’t take food pics since I only had the water camera with me. We had chocolate cake and cookies for dessert.

After lunch we headed back up the 5000 stairs to Teamboat Springs since Tom didn’t get to ride earlier with us. This is the funniest raft tide ever. Thomas also wanted to show his daddy he “ice cubes” so we stopped there again.

Then it was time to race again on Toboggan racers. We were tired and decided to take a break on the lazy river.

My favorite ride in the park. At least until Kaylee and Tom flipped their tube and Tom landed on Kaylee and caused her to swallow half the lazy river. Then Kay and I were officially done and went to the chairs to rest whilst the boys took one more ride on Runoff rapids. Maybe next time well have to try that one since they told us how much fun it was. We made our way to the locker to get our things and then on to the bus stop. I took this pic on the way out.

This time a bus pulled right up as we were walking, good timing for once. We couldn’t wait to get showered, rest, and go to dinner. We had reservations for Kona at 5PM.
