Hi there,

We are planning our first trip to CedarPoint in Ohio.
How does this park compare to Canada’s Wonderland?
How many nights should we plan to stay?
What is the best place to stay, offsite or onsite and where
would I find the best prices?
And finally, how far of a drive is it from Toronto?

Thanks for all your help.

check out a resort called the Kalahari it is very close and its an indoor water park as well!Cedar point is great when we went we spent 5 days and that was long enough.

no comparison to canadas wonderland. Its the rollercoaster capital of usa. We spent 2 days there. We stayed off property. If you love coasters they have some of the biggest and fastest. It takes us 5 hour from niagara. We go thru buffalo. You can go thru detroit and toledo from toronto to. Might be a little shorter

Fantastic compared to Wonderland, but lines are all about 2-3 hours long for each coaster :( You can get 2 and 3 day admissions or a special seasons pass for wonderland will get you in for free!

Look in to crossing at Point Pelee you will cut off a lot of time with the ferry!

It has three times the rides and the rides are three times the size of Wonderland. The only similarity is the long lines. They have some good packages if you are staying on property that include twilight passes on day of arrival. We have usually gone on a Thursday evening in mid June and by 5PM, all the school trips have left for the day and the park is relatively empty (for Cedar Point).

It is a great park and if you enjoy Wonderland, you'll really enjoy Cedar Point.

Just got back! We went for Victoria weekend.
Our second trip there.
We LOVE it!:cool1:
We stay at the "BREAKERS" right at the park. Walking distance to all the fun.
I got a $99.00 rate a night for the conference center area(west?). Prices are listed for $185.00 on line . I called and got a better deal.(AAA rate)

Beautiful beach front. We played volleyball, flew kites, etc. 3 pools ad it was warm enough to swim.

Cedar point is great. So many rides. Not really a "younger kids" park . There is snoopy ville(?) but that's about it. So many cool roller coasters.

We also stayed at kalahari for a night.

Every Monday they post timed deals and you can check the e-deal section for great rates too.
