I’m sure this has (or will) prompt a new rash of school closings. I can’t imagine how many schools can operate without gathering more than 50 people. At the very least they would require some special provisions for pick up, class changes & lunch

ETA: saw that the guidance doesn’t apply to schools, universities or businesses.

I don't know. I really feel like this is kinda getting out of hand. I mean I get it's important to take precautions, but I also feel like this is starting to ask us and our economy to just stop living almost completely for over 2 months. There are tons of contagious diseases/viruses etc. and I understand this is new and not well understood, but I do think there needs to be some kind of balance.

Just cancel "events" (concerts, plays, conventions, etc) and be done with it. Does it really matter if the "gathering" is 250, 50, 10, or 5?

I believe we will need more like 4-6 months of isolating to make a real difference. I think the short recommendation is to just get people to accept it with less push back.

It is inconvenient to try and prevent 100 million deaths but a burden we should accept.

Virginia Dental just issued guidance to suggest closing. More states to come. Canada already shut down dental.

More shutdowns to come... The fall out will be massive. If businesses close, owners can't pay staff...

In Italy they are triaging people to decide who to save and who to just let go untreated right now. We are actually outpacing Italy's infection rate.

I get that, I’m just saying the danger varies based on quality of reaction. WA has had 42 deaths in about750 cases - without swift action it can bad. Their medical system is getting overloaded

In other news we might be hitting Disney this year after all. Told my husband it’s the only thing to cure my depression when this is all over and done.
