From USA Today:

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention dropped its risk assessment of cruise travel Wednesday after more than two years of warning travelers against the dangers of contracting COVID on a cruise amid the pandemic.

"CDC is removing the COVID-19 Cruise Ship Travel Health Notice," spokesperson Dave Daigle, spokesperson for the health agency, told USA TODAY.

Does this mean anything? What will this change ? Bring back FEs lol. Which is almost embarrassing now to say that it’s to the Covid reasons why they no longer allowed

Just hoping to get our #1 platinum boarding group back. 😂

I’m 3 weeks away from my next cruise, then a b2b august 27 2022 and September 3 2022. My first 7 + 7 b2b.
After our January 2020 B2B, we became Platinum and have yet to experience the new level rewards. Hope by the May cruise things will be back to normal.

Hoping for FEs in late June!!

Jeeze this GIF has taken on new significance in the past few days.

This also would be dependent on the countries that the ship stops at.
Oh totally - but for those who dont mind staying on ship at some ports would be a major improvement. I know some lines dropped their requirement to keep non vax onboard so long as the port allows it - but that was with the (pointless) testing option still in place - I think April into May will be a lot of changes/moving rules for all.

Exactly. This may add up to be a big nothing as far as requirement changes since the CDC and Cruise lines don't control the requirements of the ports they visit. Is interesting timing as the last 10 days many of the nursing homes here have had to go back into lockdown due to covid.

I really hope this changes the vax requirements too

Those will drop in time, Im still betting on by summer travel. This is huge big step towards that. Bahamas does not require kids to be vaxxed which is why Royal is only requiring 12 and up.

But I do think they will help with on board activities super soon.
