CC Parasailing questions

Anyone who has done the CC Parasailing excursion, I'm hoping you can answer a couple questions for me.

1. How fast does it book up? (1st time DCL cruisers so last pick of the excursions )
2. If you don't want to actually go up, can you be in the boat with family that does go up?

Can't answer #1 since we book when we are able to as Gold Castaway Club members. For #2, everyone in the boat must be a paid excursion member. So if you want to pay full price just to go in the boat, you are welcome to do that. But if you are going to go that far to be in the boat, then I would recommend also going up for the parasail. Depending on who else is in your party, you can do a tandem ride as well, meaning both will go up together. It is a very relaxing 'ride' for the parasailing. When coming down, you can request that you be brought right back to the platform on the boat, so you are no where near the water.

First time cruiser here as well and I just was able to log in yesterday and pick excursions etc....there were plenty of parasailing spots still open and it was no problem to get one, Palo brunch on the other hand not so much! But that's a whole other topic

I am a first time cruiser and will be on the dream in August. I was up at midnight for my first day of booking. All parasailing spots were taken....so was family cabanas and palo brunch

The small print in my travel insurance doesn't allow parasailing, so had to cancel mine. Didn't want to take the risk

Keep checking. You need to cancel excursions 3 days before cruise starts so you could possibly grab Parasailing. The Cabanas were mostly taken by Concierege/Platinum guests. They could always release one but not likely. Check once onboard for brunch. They do hold back spots.
