How far is it from the ship to the family beach? Should we wait for a tram or is it an easy walk?

My family walked it from the Ship as we were one of the ones off first on our cruise, I have two young children and they moan if they walk to far.

It seemed like a very short distance, they didnt moan at all and I think we got to the familiy beach in about 10 mins.

I saw a tram go up to the ship but we beat any tram coming back with people on it.

I wouldnt like to say exactly who far it is but it is an easy walk.

In the afternoon, my familiy walked back to the ship and past the shops etc, angain seemed very easy.

it's a hike, but a nice hike...but after along day on the beach and int he water, I would suggest taking the tram back to the ship..
Also prepare yourself to wait to board, there are 2 lines that board one from the front and the other from the back....We waited a good 45 minutes in the very beautiful hot sun.

My 9 yr old dd & I were the first off the ship at CC and we sprinted to the family beach. Stopping long enough for a picture behind the boat. We beat EVERYONE to the beach. It is a little bit of a walk, but, I didn't want to wait for the tram.

We didn't have a wait at the ship to board. We did get back a few minutes earlier than most. Our dd's were in the kids program on stage.

I won't be waiting for a tram this time either. I will be running again for a hammock!!!

The walk was so short I was surprised they even offer a tram.
Mind you I am 6'2" and 260 lbs, so I AM NOT AN ATHLETE.
However, I was in Las Vegas last week, and walked the entire strip, 6.4 miles in 2 1/2 hours one night with stops for all the outdoor shows.....so I do like walking.
