I apologize b/c I'm sure this has been answered but couldn't find it in the search.

I am platinum, and I'm sailing with friends who are silver. If I am able to book a cabana when the platinum window opens, can they join me? Or is it restricted to anyone staying in my room?

We had some friends that were in concierge on Fantasy and booked a cabana. Us and another family were able to join them for the day with no apparent problem. I say apparent only because I am not sure if our friend had to ok it first or not. It is my understanding that a particular affinity level does not apply to usage, only to the time frame one is able to secure the reservation.

Thanks for your reply. I'm just trying to figure out if we need to connect reservations to designate specific people who can access? Or do I just indicate a number of people? Or do they just give us wristbands for the maximum number of people allowed in the cabana?

Not a problem for them to include whoever they want. Wristbands will be issued and whoever has one is allowed to enter the cabana area. Whoever actually reserves the cabana simply states that they want "x" # of bands and distributes them to whoever they want.
We have also split a cabana with another family and guest services was happy to charge half to each stateroom

Thank you so much luv2cruisedisney! This is the exact info I was looking for! That will work perfectly for us! :)

Remember that the base price of a cabana includes N guests (different for family beach and for serenity bay). You can pay extra for up to 10 total for most cabanas, and maybe up to 16? for the one large cabana.

We had a cabana last year and we invited some friends sailing in a regular cabin without our reservations linked. We set everything up once onboard. The Concierge hosts sent them the wristband without the pricing info (we were inviting them) and mentioned we could have split the price anyway we wanted. I’m sure guest services will be able to handle it in the same way.

Yes guest services can do this also. That is what we did last time. Actually now that I think about it maybe it was Port Adventures who did it.

You don't indicate the # of people that will be in the cabana when you book it. You just book it. Once you are onboard, the Cabana Host (typically one of the Concierge Hosts) will contact you to find out the # of wristbands you will need.

We have booked a cabana on our own twice and neither time did anyone contact us to find out the # of wristbands, so I would not count on that happening.

By default, you get the number of wristbands matching the number of guests in the stateroom that booked the cabana. Maybe they contact you if another reservation is linked to yours ?

This is what we got, wristbands for each of us in the stateroom.

Update: Cabana is booked. Reservations are linked. Now I'm hoping that I can add them to the cabana once silver booking window opens up.

Thanks for all the input!

If you cannot, no big deal. My parents and I were linked and are the same status level and I could not add them into the cabana online the one time we have done it. I just got their wristbands from Guest Services when I was on board. I actually had to get MINE from there as for some reason nothing was delivered to my stateroom.
