CBS pulls the plug on Two and a Half Men...

I think they ought to cancel two and half men, and do a spinoff with just Jake. They could have Jake and the kid he hangs out with going to college or something. If you ask me and my DH we think Jake is the funniest one on the show.

I love that idea!:thumbsup2

getting close to social security age. now in shouting distance. boy it's funny how just a simple post and help from nice people help you remember.

Yeah. Wouldn't it be nice if you could do the same with things you have mis placed. Like, Hey do you guys happen to know where I put my sun glasses? I can't find them anywhere.

Getting old is not for the weak. lol

Way to GO Carlos Irwin Estevez...you've just thrown over 300 people out of work. And boo-hoo-hoo...if you paid *all* the crew what they would have collectively earned for the rest of the truncated Two and a Half Men's season?, it would cost you a whopping $1.2 million - what YOU used to earn for a SINGLE episode. (http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/02/10/charlie-sheen-cost-of-paying-crew/)

agnes!

Well, Charlie replaced Michael J. Fox on Spin City. Maybe it's time for the circle of life to make another rotation. ;)

and yes spin city was a great show. with and without michael fox or charlie sheen.thanks for the help.

boy you think you know it all... and I don't.

i guess the world doesn't set on charlie sheen. maybe it's a good thing and charlie will get some help.. i hope he does.

I love the show, watch it all the time, several times a day when home!
I love Charlie, BUT I feel like sometimes actors become in real life what they play in their parts, and I feel like this has happened to Charlie.

His fans and the on going expectations that he has dealt with has bought him to the point he is at. He became who he plays....period.

I do think, like I did with LL. That Charlie needs to crash and burn before he can get better, he has lost touch with reality, and it needs to hit him HARD in the face...

I have an ex, just like this...(not as rich thou) who is the exact same way, and nothing can touch him.
and I never see him returning to this character he "plays" if he ever wants to get help, he can't, he is playing himself in real life!

just think,

He has made millions and millions of dollars just rolling out of bed to go do what he does best in real life and get paid for it!!
wow... wish I could do that!! lol

I think Charlie is a very talented guy, and I do feel for him right now, he is angry at what his life is like and in denial about it.
~maybe someday...he will get real help!

i loose things all the time. makes me laugh. glad i retired early. but nothing wrong with getting senior coffee at mcdonalds. (but i diden't ask for it).

Its really scary when Denise Richards is the only sane person in a group..... Just saying

I liked all the characters on the show but my favorite is/was Berta. I wish I could throw out zingers the way she does. I'm thinking them in my head but don't have the brass to say what I'm thinking...except to DH.

Love, love, Berta. :goodvibes Too bad Charlie can't get his house in order.

I guess we can lay money on his overdose soon.:sad2:

Cest la vie

I feel bad for all the other cast and crew. 2 1/2 men used to be a goog show but I feel the last few seasons have really gone downhill, just going for the cheapest laugh.

Emilio Estevez was in the West Wing? :confused3

I didn't remember it either, so I went to imdb.com. :thumbsup2
From the trivia for the 2003 episode Twenty Five:

While Toby is in the hospital room with his babies, the television is playing what is supposed to be home movie footage of Zoey as a child with her father. Even though the younger Jed Bartlet in the home movie is only seen very briefly, he is played by one of Martin Sheen's real-life sons, actor and director Emilio Estevez. This is the second time in their careers that Estevez has played a younger version of the same character that Martin Sheen was playing; the first time was in Nightbreaker (1989).

i was trying to remember estevez in the west wing. how long was it on for and how did it end. is it in reruns anywhere. thanks again.

I really enjoy 2 and a half men. I can't imagine it going on without Charlie though. It sucks for the other actors and crew though I'm a big believer in when one door closes another opens so I'm sure they'll come out the other side just fine.

Wow, someone had a good memory. Never in a million years would I have remembered such a small role and I LOVED that show!

And I would love it if that could happen.

That what's killing me too. I just got the 4th season of Spin City on DVD, which was Michael's last season, and I'm watching one of my favorite actors have to leave a show because he couldn't do it anymore (and visibly struggling to get through those last few shows), who went on to make sure the show would continue after he left...but meanwhile this idiot can do whatever he wants and is just throwing it all away. :sad2:

I liked Charlie on Spin City, but I'm so fed up with him that this is probably the last season of the show I'm going to pick up.

I agree. Of course, that's not the actor's fault. They tell the jokes and act the scenes that the producers and writers give them.

It should also be noted that Sheen's diatribe against Lorre wasn't the first shot fired. Lorre has been using his vanity cards to issue digs at Sheen for a while now.

The way I see it, the show may or may not be cancelled, but if it returns it will be with Sheen and without Lorre.

Never cared for the show. I'm surprised it lasted this long.

As for his rant, I think he was done with the show and this was his way of ending it.
