Okay will I be able to get my CBS Survivor fix while on the Magic?, I know.... am I sad or what lol!. TIA

Survivor is still on the air?

To answer your question, I don't think that they show CBS on board, either at the bars which have TV (only Promenade Lounge and ESPN?) or in the staterooms. At least I don't recall ever seeing it. The only time I've seen CBS broadcast was when we stopped in Key West on a Sunday (unscheduled) and they showed football. Usually, Sunday is a sea day on the Magic (for the eastern itinerary, anyway), and they can only show what they can bring in on their satellite and have paid for (i.e. ESPN, ABC, etc.).

You'll need to use TiVO or VCR to keep up.

Not sad, just the only one brave enough to ask. I'm also wondering how I will get my Survivor fix. If you miss one week you miss so much and you can't catch up on video because all the papers announce who was voted off. At least it's not Big Brother where you miss one week and you've missed 3 shows. Geez, I need to get a life...

Oh, yes, Survivor will soon be going strong for another season. On one thread awhile back, internet access was being discussed and someone said they'd used the Internet Cafe to find out who'd been voted off the night before. Obviously, we addicted folks are a resourceful bunch.;)

DH was able to watch Big Brother on the Wonder during our cruise a couple of weeks ago. So, I know the Wonder gets CBS, but I'm not sure about the Magic.

I hadn't even thought about missing SURVIVOR on our 11/9/02 cruise! Bummer! I'll have to tape it and hope I don't hear who got voted off, before I get a chance to watch it. My DD8 and I are so "into" Big Brother"-we watch all 3 episodes each week. But Survivor is definitely our favorite!:jester:

Oh no Big brother too!, what was I thinking booking the end of September??!?!. ;) ;). Thanks for the responses, you are brave people lol!.

LOL. Hmmm.....which will I choose: missing Survivor (a show I truly enjoy) or going on a cruise??? Decisions, decisions! ;) :)

Hey, I TOTALLY understand !!! On our cruise LAST October, we knew ahead of time that the FIRST episode of Survivor 3 ( I think it was 3...) would be on while we were away.. I thought about it ahead of time, too. I had NO idea if I'd get to see it, or miss it. I had my sister on standby, keeping her in touch on the e-mail whether or not she was to tape it for us. Well, they didn't have that channel while we were there! So, she taped it for us. I tell you what, if they have CBS on the boat more, that would be nice. We like ALOT of those CBS shows, from Big Brother, Survivor, Amazing Race, and CSI !!! Sad, I know, but these are practically the only shows we watch. We don't hardly ever watch TV anymore at all... They need to get HGTV and Discovery and Animal Planet on there, too... We were quite tired of CNN, especially since our Oct 6 cruise was just 3 weeks after 9/11, and we were already so nervous leaving home. We like to watch TV in our cabin at night before bed. It is our way of relaxing.

Okay, it's nice to know that someone else out there is like me!! We sailed this past May and to my horror discovered that the final show would be aired during our cruise. I set my VCR and prayed that a power outage would not occur. LOL. To my surprise, when we returned from dinner (late seating) my kids were watching Survivor!! I was thrilled. So, yes CBS is on the ship and you can get your Survivor fix!!
