CBR to Cape May for Character BKFST?

I think we need to take the bus to Epcot, and then walk a/o/ boat to the Boardwalk right? So I will need to allow at least an hour to get to our PS?

Actually taking the bus to Epcot won't help you. If you're having breakfast, you'll have to have a PS for after 11:00 (and I think they close at 10:30). The World Showcase is closed until then, and I don't think they would allow you access to walk through(the International Gateway is located here), since you're not a guest at any of the Epcot resorts. You're best bet would either take the bus to MGM and then the boat/walk, or take the bus to AK or MK and switch to the BC bus. I'd allow at least an hour.

The International Gateway opens the same time as the main entrance of Epcot (either 8am for ee or 9am).
They rope off World Showcase but you can still walk through to and from Future World.
They can take the bus to Epcot and walk through and exit at the International Gateway (suggest a hand stamp for return). Unless a boat is at the exit it's only a five minute walk to the Beach Club. Stay right when you reach World Showcase and also right after you exit Epcot. You don't want to head towards the Boardwalk (it's across the water from the Beach Club).
You're right that they can take the bus to the Studios and then the boat to the Yacht/Beach Clubs.
With the time it would take to walk through Epcot my guess is that the time would be the same either way.

ps.......The walk through Epcot is long. The walk from the Studios to the Beach Club is long. It's probably easier bus to Studios, boat to Yacht/Beach clubs, unless you a)like to walk, and b) have a lot of time.

1. Walking through Epcot requires you to use a day on a hopper pass - if that matters - and the walk is relatively long. If you choose this route, walk all the way to the Beach Club - do not take the boat.
2. Taking the bus to MGM then boat to Beach Club may be quicker.
3. You do not say what time you have the PS. Another option is to take a bus to MK or AK and then hop a bus back to Beach Club. This may be desirable if your PS is early and one of those parks is the EE park.

Any way you choose, leave early and enjoy the trip. If you arrive at BC too soon, you will enjoy exploring the area.

This is what I would suggest.

Hop on board the Disney-MGM Studios bus. Let the driver know you need to get to the Beach Club. This way, if he or she is able to, they MIGHT be able to take you directly, after dropping off other folks at the Studios. Not a guarantee... but it's sometimes a possibility.

If they are unable to, just exit at the Studios, and hop on board a Friendship Cruiser to the Beach Club.

For timing, I'd be out at your CBR bus stop one hour prior to your PS. It won't take an hour, but it's always best to plan for Murphy's Law.

Here is what we had to do just last week.

We were waiting for a "character breakfast" bus (didn't know they stopped running them while we were there) after waiting for about 30 mins we called down at the front desk. She said that we have to take the MGM bus & get on a boat to Beach Club.

A MGM bus came about 10 mins later (yes, we were going to be late)

After we got to MGM, I waited for everyone to get off & asked the driver how to get over to Beach Club from here. He told me to stay on the bus & he will drive us to the Beach Club
Wonderful guy too!!!!

We made it to Cape May only 5 mins late Thanks to the wonderful bus driver

Thanks everyone, I think we have the plan down now...you all made it much easier to understand! DS really wants to see Pluto, so the Cape May is one that says he's there...I hope so!

Unless things have changed, Pluto isn't at Cape May for breakfast. The characters that are reported as being there are Goofy, Chip, Dale and Minnie in the lobby. Pluto can be found at Donald's breakfast at the AK, Liberty Tree Tavern for dinner, and I've seen him at Chef Mickey's for breakfast. You might be changing plans again if Pluto is your real reason for going to Cape May. It is a WONDERFUL breakfast!!

Characters are always changing at the breakfasts... they're very busy you know! Best bet, is to call and verify.

We have a PS for that breakfast too! Our plan is to take a taxi from CBR to Beach Club....the cost will be about $7.00 & it will take about 10 minutes to get there....I would be crabby if I had to take 2 modes of transportation & leave an hour early.....just my opinion....doesn't that sound more relaxing?!
