Hi,

We are planning a trip for the last week of October and would like to stay at the CBR. Me, my hubby and my 5 year old son will be travelling with some friends who also have a 5 year old son. We can't afford a delux hotel but want a way for the adults to hang out together at night after the kids have gone to bed. Can anyone tell me if booking a ground floor room at CBR would be a good idea? I'm thinking that we can sit outside of our rooms (rooms right next to each other) without blocking the walkway like we would if we were on the 2nd or 3rd floor. Also, is the noise any worse on the ground floor? Any recommendations?
Thanks for any help you can provide!

In September 2007 we were in Aruba building #56, ground floor. When we walked out of our room we looked right at a courtyard. There was benches, tables and chairs. Very nice to sit out there late at night. However, there were people smoking in this area. But it would work out great if you could get a room like this, still close to your room but not having to sit in the walkway. We never heard anyone outside of our room this trip and we were there for 10nights. Very beautiful and peaceful resort.

We were in Trinidad North 3128, and here's the view out our door -- perfect!

We always stay on ground floor and never are bothered by noise.

Hanging outside your room will really depend on where you are placed to have chairs/benches. Request a garden view or close to a pool.

In the top two of quietest resorts we've stayed at, in fact we've had more noise at certain deluxe than at CBR. I know this is subject to the guests staying in your building, but we found this to be a very peaceful resort.

I have stayed at CBR many times and have never been bothered by the noise. (Can't say the same about my most recent visit to AKL - parents letting their kids run and scream in the hallways late night and early morning) Have a wonderful trip!!

Thanks for all the advice. The pic that was sent is exactly what we are looking for! I think we'll request that room/area.

I feel much better about booking a main floor room now - thanks again!

You can request a village but Disney does not guarantee that you will get it. That said, I usually request a room in Arbua and I have on most occasions been successful. I have never specified a specific building. In the villages, there are no chairs outside other than the ones in those little sitting areas or by quiet pools.
