CBR or POR for last minute trip?

We have never stayed at a moderate Resort, only deluxe. However, our next trip (in two weeks - last minute trip) we will be. We narrowed down to CBR and POR because they both have water features like boating and a sit-down restaurant, as well as food court. From those who have stayed one of these Moderate, which one would you choose?

There are 3 of us (2 adults, 1 child), we don't spend a lot of time in our room, but we do like to take advantage of resort amenities like boat rentals, jogging trails, swimming, shopping, etc. We are going to every park at some point in our trip and we have our own car. I guess we just want to know why someone liked CBR or POR i.e. cast members, housekeeping (good or not), bus service (reliable?), etc.

We have stayed at both and they are both nice and you really can't go wrong with either one. I would choose POR, my kids liked the pool better. You can also enjoy the French Quarter Resort and their pool too. The boat ride to DTD is nice too.

I've only been to POR, and loved it. Rooms were nice, the foot court was awesome and the grounds were beautiful. My son enjoyed the pool. Shuttle bus was quick and easy, but at night the lines were always long. Next time we want to stay at a Deluxe!

If you enjoy the pool then you may want to reconsider CBR. Their main pool is closed until Sept. You can see pictures of the construction on the CBR FAQ thread. Link is in my signature.

We decided to go with the POR! We're from southeast Louisiana so I guess we'll feel right at home (although we're going to request Magnolia Bend). If it's warm enough, we'd love to use the pool and the boat trip to DD sounds really nice. Maybe we'll stay at CBR in October when the pool is completed.
