OK I have figured out that these are the two mods that I am interestedin.... but of course I cannot decide!! We have 2 small children and will not be park hopping. we will be coming back to the resort for lunch/swim/naps before heading out again for the evening.. which should I choose??

Sorry I am not much help here - but these 2 resorts are my favorite mods:) We loved CBR on our first trip to WDW and we just recently stayed at CSR and loved it. I would have a hard time deciding between the 2. The main pool at CSR is better then CBR but we loved the quiet pools at CBR when we stayed there and since my kids were younger that trip it was perfect. I do know that the rooms at CBR are a bit bigger then all the other mods so if you want the little extra room keep that in mind. I really do not think you could go wrong with either choice:)

I like them both a whole lot. They both have pros and cons.

But, if you just can't make up your mind, I'd pick CSR. They have elevators! There are times I wouldn't want to carry a kid up stairs if I didn't have to - like after a long day in the parks. :)

Love them both, but the bright colors and views of Epcot fireworks make CBR the winner in my book =)

I really agree with the poster who mentioned CBR's better quiet pools, but CSR's better main pool. And also about the ability to enjoy the Illuminations (the high up fireworks part of that show) and the bright color theme at CBR as being pluses to that resort. All of those were things that appealed to my family and made CBR our favorite mod by a hair over CSR. I will also add that the CBR rooms have double sinks, which is nice for families. CBR also has a very reliable internal bus system vs. the golf carts CSR has that seem to be a luck thing as to whether or not you get one or not if you desire to cut down on some walking. CBR also has preferred location rooms which is nice if you want to assure yourself of being close to the main areas.

If you enjoy having room service, then CSR is the winner since its the only mod to offer somethings besides pizza delivery. CSR also has a full service spa and salon, which again, puts it more on the level of a deluxe in the amenities department. It definitely caters to the business traveller and the often less crowded buses to the parks and pool area(s) prove that further.

CSR's food court is really nice, if you plan to be on the DDP its a great deal, they have some more upscale selections vs. the other food courts. They do add a 10% gratuity however, so if you are paying out of pocket that can add some cost. CSR has the Maya Grill which is a wonderful full service restaurant. CBR has Shutters which is also very good, but I found the atmosphere at Maya Grill a bit more quiet and nice.

Both resorts have incredible theming and feel like a vacation within a vacation. At both you could never go to a park and still have a lot of fun!

In the end, both resorts are great and you cannot make a bad choice. CSR generally wins the popularity polls here on the dis, not exactly sure why since I think CBR is just as wonderful! If all else fails, flip a coin!

Oh and be aware (you may be already) that CBR's main pool is going under refurb the first half of 2008.

Definitely CSR! It's newer, has a better pool and more food options. The transportation is great too.

CSR! Great pool and pool bar, terrific transportation w/quick rides to all the parks and CSR has some deluxe amenities like a fitness center and spa.

My daughters and I love CBR! The resort has beautiful tropical themeing, white sandy beaches with hammocks, and friendly ducks. There are beautiful vibrant colors all over the resort. The rooms are larger than other mods at 340sq ft and each room has two double sinks with storage. We usually stay in the Jamaica section which is a short walk over the bridge to the main pool, the food court (which we like), and the gift shop. My daughters like the main pool and we also use the quiet pools. We have always had good bus transportation - internal and to the parks. Check out Safetymom's FAQ about CBR. She has tons of great information. I think CSR looks great when we are at Disney but I cannot get my daughters to try another resort. They absolutely love CBR. But I am sure either resort you choose, you will love. Good luck on your decison.
