Hi, not too sure if this is the correct place to ask, but here goes. We're staying at the CBR this Feb and then going on a 5 nights cruise with Royal Caribbean on Navigator of the seas, visiting Labadee and Ochos Rios. We've never cruised before and not sure what were doing. Would you advice to pre book tour or do once on board or is it best to make your own way and explore yourself. Any advice on any aspects of the cruise would be great. thanx. :cool1:

Have a look at their site and see what tours they offer, see if any interest you. Done 7 cruises now(5 Disney & 2 RCCL) only done 1 fishing trip at Castaway Cay, much prefer to get off the ship for a walk around then back on board to enjoy a quieter ship while everyone else goes on trips.
Others have posted to use this site for advice http://www.cruisecritic.co.uk/ I never have so not sure whats on there.
Both RCCL cruises we have been on we loved the buffet meals so much we never got to the dining rooms, totally opposite to Disney, I am not over impressed with their buffet meals, OK for lunch but not my main meal.

We've cruised with Royal Caribbean loads of times (including on the Navigator) and although they are at the moment pissing us off majorly on a booking we have with them, on the whole, cruising with them is always a pleasure.
It's a great ship, really lovely, no complaints and I'd gladly recommend it.
However, the itinerary, Labadee and Ocho Rios... Not that brilliant. Labadee is one of Royal Caribbean's private islands (it's in Haiti). It's great if you just want to spend a day on the beach and doing related things, but it isn't exactly offering anything beyond that.
Ocho Rios, probably one of the most dissappointing ports. There have been loads of safety issues (tourists get robbed there all the time). Unless you go to a designated touristy zone/beach/attraction, the place is dirty. I know a lot of regular cruises who won't even bother getting off the ship anymore at Ocho Rios (the ship has so much to offer that you won't exactly need to get off ;)).
