YES, YES, YES!!! This is what the manual says:

Start-up Image:
Recording image format: JPEG (Baseline JPEG)
Sampling rate: 4:1:1
Image size: 320X240 pixels
File capacity: 20 KB or less

Start Up Sound, Shutter sound, Operation Sound and Selftimer Sound:

Recording Format : WAVE (monaural)
Standardizing bit: 8 bit

WHAT DOES THAT ALL MEAN?

<font face="tempus sans itc" color=purple size=3>I started out with a Kodak and thought I was in heaven until... we got a Canaon G2 Photoshot this past year. The color is exquisite and the definition is perfect!

I don't think you'll ever regret having a digital camera. It'll pay for itself in the film you don't buy lickety split:)

<font color=navy>I have a Canon S30, also, and really love it, and haven't even got through reading the manual yet. I didn't know we could personalize the opening picture & sounds, too - that is so cool!!!!

I enjoy the rechargeable battery that came with the camera, and haven't run out of juice yet.

I'd like to know what servers allow uploading of video - I'd love to have a site with videos on it, too.

Thanks again for all the links here - Zurg, you're such a big help! :sunny:

Good luck with your new camera, LOVETHATMOUSE, you will have a lot of fun and enjoyment. Read that manual and shoot lots of practice shots. Actually all the shots are always practice for me.
