Last night as I was eating dinner I got a call from "Marriott regarding our Disney Vacation for 1 week for $199"(I think...the guy was talking fast...and I was trying to jog my memory-I have 2 trips booked). Then he said..."yea..I was talking to you earlier this week about this and you said you were going to ask your husband"....(ok flag number 1...DH is away on Business)... then he quickly restated the initial information "WDW in florida for 1 week(XXXdollars)and you were going to check with him". (Flag #2 went off)...I said REALLY...because we own a Timeshare(DVC) in Florida, and there would be no reason why I would have spoken to you about such a thing. He hung up very quickly.

Please be careful...I have a feeling that this might have been some kind of marketing ploy to have people sit in on a Timeshare persentation...(that is my guess, because the rate seemed really low). Now if this is something that you are intrested in...fine...but I thought it was evry tricky and sneaky and could see how people would get easilly fooled. I would love to know where they got my name from.

What's scary is that the whole thing might be bogus and the guy is just trying to get a credit card number over the phone. Thanks for the heads-up!

Ok! I have done telemarketing for resorts, but this is the most annoying script I could do over the phone! I would go in a friendly approach, not telling the rebuttals first! Besides, the rebuttals are the last resource, when the telemarketer is desperate to close the sale. :furious:
