Catching characters outside of FP?

Any tricks or tips on when characters are out on the streets? When I checked MDE it gave such a widespread time I didn't know if there were any patterns or times. We are going to MK, Epcot, and DHS. I would love the main characters but also if there are other more rare characters that would be fun as well.

Kenny the Pirate has an excellent section on characters at the parks (times and locations). It is a subscription service but it's only 6.99 for the year.

Most are pretty regulated nowadays. You could catch a characterpalooza at DHS if you're lucky or pay for KTP's exclusive content. Green Army men on Pixar Place. Maybe some step sisters or fairy godmother behind Cindy's castle? Other than that, I've got nothing.

If you mean roaming characters, there are none.
All Meet and greet times are listed on the times guides.
Other than Caracterpalooza and training at Epcot.
Training can not be planned for.
Characterpalooza usually happens but is still irregular

Peter Pan (to the right of his ride) and Gaston (Gaston's Tavern) both come out around 10am.

Gaston fills up usually before he even makes it outside, so get there early. Peter is also popular, but I was able to get in line for Gaston at 9:15, then head over to Peter a few minutes after 10.
