Catagory 3 ?

Planning a 7 night cruise for the summer(July) of 2006. We are going to take a seven day in Catagory 3 with two kids. Anyone have an idea what this would cost?? I am planning this far in advance knowing it will be EXPENSIVE.....

Your probably going to have to wait until early May to find out anything about summer'05 pricing, rumor of ship moving to west coast for that time frame.

I looked at AllSeasons web-site & for a Cat 4.(that is as high as they show) for July'04 runs from about $7300 - $7900 for 4 people

I would contact a travel agent, and get a price quote for a Cat. 3 and tell them you realize they can not give you a quote for '06 but you are in the planning stages. Our cat. 3 this March is running close to $10,000. That includes 3 people, airfare from Des Moines IA (never cheap), insurance, port charges & taxes, a prenight stay at the Airport Hyatt and DCL transportation to the port and back.

I can not remember our quote for March '05 but it was so high we decided to get a quote for a Cat. 6. They wanted the exact same price as what we are paying for a Cat. 3 this year--the problem we discovered is that our Spring Break ends on Easter Weekend. We had no idea Easter ment the prices would be sky high. Normally a cat. 6 with all the above charges run us around $2000 per person.

Remember these prices are not the "cruise only price" you usually see but this is the actual vacation expense. Don't forget to add in the tips which I think ends up close to a total of $300. This does not include the ship board charges which you can control. We usually end up between $1,500 to $2,000.

Cat. 3's are wonderful but they are expensive. Kathy
