I have a twin bed, so its not very large, at all.

Anyways, today I decided to take a nap. My cat decided a bit earlier it was nap time too! She was laying so that she took up over half the width of the bed.

So I lay down on the other half, not wanting to be mean, and move her. I plop my body pillow down on top of her, and she still didn't move.

The entire nap she didn't! Very uncomfortable, for both of us.

Little princess she is. :littleangel:

I'm guessing you don't have kids yet. The cat's just a warm-up. Wait'll you see how much room a toddler who doesn't feel well, or who had a bad dream, can take up in king-size bed! :clown:

Nope, just have a cat who acts like a child!

I spent many a night in my moms bed. She had a queen size. Once I got full grown, and sick of her firm mattress and not being able to toss and turn, I finally stopped going. :joker:

I have a queen and a seven-month old cat. Just the two of us, and he manages to take up all of the space around me. And when I move him I get the "how dare you" yelp.

I could be worse, there could be husband, kid with a doll and cat ;).

How I miss the days when I spent many nights in hotel rooms- on my own...

I can always tell when it is cold because my cat will always be right up against me. I can try to move around and reposition and she will just stick to me like a magnet.

We have a king size. One husband, one cat, one dog and three kids. All but the kids are allowed, they have their own bed. But don't feel too bad for the kids, they can't stand to be in our bed either, they love their own bed and space.

The cat and the dog, well they argue over space. Lots of growling at night. lol

One of our cats likes to start out in the middle of our bed in a tiny curled up ball. Then slowly as the night progresses he starts to stretch out till we find ourselves on the edge of the bed and he's all sprawled out straight across in the middle!:lmao:

Lol, I have a king bed and a pretty large dog:crowded:. DH gave up a few years ago and spends most nights on the couch. The dog likes to lay on DH's pillow at lengthwise which means I either get his face in my face (bad breath) or his back end in my face (worse):scared:, so I have to sleep on my side facing away from him. And he snores loudly so I sleep with earplugs. :confused3

When we got the dog, we said he'd be crated at night. This probably lasted a week or two (we caved to the crying), and here we are 9 yrs later.

I have a queen, feels like a full. Me, DH , and three dogs.

:lmao: :rotfl2: Thats so cute!! :rotfl: OMG i cant stop laughing!!!

The cat we had when I was a teenager used to sleep exactly in the middle of my twin bed. I used to kind of curl around her.

I think we're just lucky that our pets allow to share their beds at all :lmao:

:lmao: Our cat and small dog sleep with us at night and they manage to push us both to the edges so they get half the bed.

DH and I have a queen and while he's perfectly comfortable, I spend the night curled up due to one of our cats...she's a tiny little 9-pounder, but she manages to completely stretch out across the end of my side. Heaven forbid that I move a muscle...if I do, she decides it's time to play "blanket monster" and pounce on my feet until she subdues them.

Then starting around 4 a.m., the other cat comes up between us and loudly meows in my ear. I have to turn over and he lies down half on my hip or leg and half on the bed. If I don't rub his neck and shoulders, he gets up, meows in my face, then lies down again. This lasts about 15 minutes before he suddenly runs away. 20-25 minutes later, he comes back and does it all over again. And again. And again...until Daddy leaves for work just before 8.

I am occaissonally allowed to share my side of my king size bed with my 80lb golden retriever. Generally, around 2am she kicks me when she's turning over or she does a full body bumb move to move me over to give herself more room. At that point, I'm fully awake and move to the couch because I need the tv to fall asleep and don't want to wake dh. The cat loves this because then he gets to cuddle with me on the couch- he's generally locked out of the bedroom.

We started with good intentions when we got the dog 4 years ago- but hit a really cold spell two winters ago and I was guilted into allowing the dog in our bedroom at night. She lasted 15 minutes on her bed on the floor before hopping up and taking over my side of the bed and has been master of it ever since. Dh thinks shes so funny-the dog's his baby.

Two nights ago Dh forgot to lock the cat out of the room and it was a 40degree nite(cold for Tampa) and I had the dog curled up on one side of me and the cat curled into the other. How DH gets his whole side for himself is what I'd like to know!

The first cat DH and I had would sleep between us. He would start out all snug then during the night as we shifted in our sleep he would take up more and more room. There were many times I would take up with DH and I all the way on each side of the bed and the cat stretched out horizontal in the middle. :sad2:

Thats adorable. :goodvibes And funny!! I have a 100lb golden retriever. He has no interest in sleeping on the bed for some reason. He's sleeps on the main floor. I've tried to lure him on my bed but he wont stay. Go figure! Maybe its for the best, cause I can only imagine how much room he'd need! He's 100 lbs!

Absolutely! Nothing else mattered as long as Fergie was comfortable. She had to get her full 20 hours of sleep!

When she use to be itty bitty, she would sleep in HER bed that I had on the nightstand next to me. Only way she would sleep in it, was if it was in a spot she could see me.

Also she would sleep between me and the body pillow.

Now she generally sleeps on top of me, or at my feet. Sometimes I catch her sleeping on her nice perch next to the bed.

Or the favorite space is a box in the closet.
