I am going on my first cruise (not to mention Disney cruise) October 2005...
I booked a cat 10 (stateroom 2573) After reading through I am a bit worried about the cat and the fact its on the 2nd deck (noise)... I thought the lower the level the less likely you will get sick... also I wanted mid ship for this very reason. :earsgirl:

Any Advice?

When in Oct 2005 are you traveling? Just "wondering" if you might be on the Oct 23 - Wonder. Room 5020 is available on that sailing and it is a "secret porthole room" for the Cat 10 cost.

Hi There~

I Was There In Nov, We Stayed Down The Hall From You.
Deck 2 Was Awsome. It Was "not Noisy". Easy To Get To Everywhere, Especially Leaving The Ship.

I Am Going Again Next Nov, & "hoping" For Dec 2 Again.

Hope This Helps

Patricia

We had that room (and 2571) last month! The only "noise" was from my kids snoring after exhausting themselves all day.

Great room, great location, no seasickness problems, great room attendant (assuming they don't move around!).

I am traveling October 29, 2005 - November 5, 2005 ... Disney Magic...

We've sailed on Deck 2 twice...once in a Cat 10. We think it is a great location...an easy walk to decks 3 and 4 for dinners and a quick walk to deck one for debarkation on port days!...and the room itself is the same size as categories 9-5...great room for the money.

Happy Sailing! :boat:

We stayed in 2573 last February and loved it, very very quiet even during the day, we never heard anything, very convenient for dinner just 1 floor up. It was a very convenient room, and we would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Was in 2575 last Dec. and have to agree with the other post. :moped: John

We had 2573 on our 10 day Christmas cruise. It is a connecting room, and our neighbors were a bit noisy at the first, but after day 2, they settled down. You're directly under the entrance to Lumiere's, so there's no nightclub noise.

As far as seasickness, in my opinion, if you're going to get sick, it won't matter where your room is. I am very prone to motion sickness, so I take the long acting dramamine stuff when I cruise. I did notice that in 2573, the motion was less noticable than our earlier rooms on deck 7 forward, or when I was on higher decks on the ship.

Jose was our room attendant. Very nice, and did a good job keeping up with my crew!
