Great linked video - I was a little sad to know the castle will be under wraps while we are there this year, but kind of excited to see what 'subtle changes' involving pixie dust will show up Plus it sounds like they did anticipate people wanting pix in front of castle. Should be fun!

I just read an article (I posted it in another thread) that said there will be a scrim with Maleficent featured on the back of the castle.

Do you know if they have a photopass spot for the backside? We've done the front but never done group photos in the back, and Maleficent would be a MUST for us!

It's too soon to know, as the scrim hasn't been hung yet, but I would suspect they would station a photographer there once it goes up.

Great! The kids just watched it (repeat for the older kids, but seemed completely 'new' to my younger ones), so I already expected them to want a picture there. Getting Maleficent in the background would just be icing on the cake. She is by far their favorite villain.

Waiting is so hard - I think I am more excited than the kids, and we still have 6 weeks to go....

They need to paint the scrim green, then let everyone get their Photopass shot in front of it, and insert a photo of any castle you want behind you. Do I have to think of everything for them?

Looking forward to seeing this. DD was abit disappointed at first when I told her that the castle is being refurbished since she is hoping to take a photo with her bf (his first trip) in front of the castle. But then she realized that there are so many other places at DL with good photo ops.

When we were in HKDL last summer, their castle was covered up too but we still had fun and took many photos.

This just gives us another excuse to plan for another visit

Shucks.. I didn't think about the time it would take to actually get it up.. I will be there Sunday-Thursday. I will post an update. I was pretty excited for Maleficent.. ya know, dragon and all

My sister and I will be there for one day next month. Glad I started looking for refurbs and such.

I will definitely make a note about Maleficent. Maybe I will even bring my Maleficent ears for the trip.
