Castle Portrait Session ?

...I'm confused. Lol (that's not difficult). If Disney doesn't do your photography, you can't have the pics in the park. But other than that, I'm sure you can set up something with your photographer to do a "reveal" if you are doing pics before your ceremony.

I don't think Randy is going to come out at 6am poor guy to do the reveal....DPS will do the Kingdom photo shoot. He will be at epcot I hope at 8 pm to do pictures before the ceremony.

You do not have to have Disney photographing your wedding to have a MK session, as for the "reveal", I'm not sure what your photographer can do, other then take photos of you seeing each other in your hotel lobby for the first time.

As for the locations, they try to keep you to the Castle and Carousel, but we requested to skip the Carousel (I hate them!) and we had photos in front of the Haunter Mansion. It was not guaranteed, we asked on the way to the MK, in the van, but he found a way for us to have them.

HI!

As everyone mentioned you can take the pics at the Castle anytime before or after the ceremony.

Another option is the Honeymoom Picture package. This is where you pick one park and take pictures all over the park. It is less expensive and you still get some fantastic pictures (although not in dress). We did this on our honeymoon 10 years ago and we were very pleased with our session. We had a Christmas themed wedding. Usually you get the pictures in a small album. We didn't like their color selections so they specially designed one with a green and red cover for us at no extra charge.

We are doing a vow renewal this December at WDW. We will be doing the Castle pictures (after the renewal) and the Honeymoon pics. We are going to try to design something special to coordinate with our Christmas theme.

Have a great time and be creative. We found everyone to be very accommodating. :earsboy: :earsgirl:

HI all...

I found this picture of someone who had their pictures taken with the pink castle cake. Thought you might be interested.

ETA - I meant this for another thread...sorry!

THis reply would have been better half way through this thread, sorry. But here is a thought, we are incorporating our MK pictures into our photo package through disney. We took out a few of the albums and only had to add in $300. I can't remember right now but i think we took out some of the folio's (who would we give them to anyways?) Our total package is expensive, $5900ish but it includes alot:10 hours of coverage on wedding day (ceremony, reception, dessert party), and MK shoot the following day. We get all of the proofs and a few albums with that. cosmotology is increasing to $200 soon, i was locked in at $150 but i was told it is due to the time inconvenience for them, 4am! hope this helps some! :flower:

You can have the MK shoot as long as you are having a FTW. We're not even staying on site the day of our session we just have to meet the photographer at the GF at 6am.

I wish I could remember who told the story of the MK shoot the morning of the wedding. I'm sure they set it up so the bride and groom were seperate and then she appeared from somewhere at the hotel and they took photos before they set off, or something... I'm not sure. It all depends if you have seperate rooms to get ready in i suppose, then you arrange to meet your DH2B in the lobby so he sees you for the first time there just like as if that were the altar...
