Hi, I am going in 2 weeks and i am trying to find out if the castle has construction walls up anywhere around the hub or forecourt area but what i'm finding is all old photos from atleast a month ago. Can someone let me know? thanks!!

There is still some construction going on, but not much that is majorly impacting guests.

All 4 castle turrets are uncovered, the forecourt in front of the stage is open, but there are walls along the edges. The ramps still are not complete so no walking through the castle yet.

Both sides of the expanded hub are open.

The walkway behind the castle from Merida's M&G is closed and currently housing the crane which is lowered during the day. The other walkway from Liberty Square is open, and there is a scrim covering the Cinderella fountain.

There are also some walls by the main street bypass, but it's unnoticeable during the day since the bypass is only open at night.

There are a bunch of walls up in the front of Adventureland/behind Liberty Square where they are working on the new restaurant.

The crane is for the castle lights for the Christmas season. This is going to be our 4th time visiting in October and the crane has always been there on all prior visits. From what I've heard, though, this year is an improvement because the crane is only up at night. In the past, it was kept up all day and so impacted pictures of the castle.

The other poster indicated that the ramps to the castle are still not complete so you can't walk though the castle right now.

can you walk through the castle?
what is the crane for? will that be there in 2 weeks?

No, you cannot walk through the castle yet. I don't expect the ramps to be open until sometime in November.

The crane is being used to put the lights on the castle. I'm sure it will still be there, but they lower it during the day so that you don't end up with pictures like this

If I end up at MK tomorrow I will try to remember to take some pictures of the area since they will make more sense

oh no :( I hope that there isn't so much obvious stuff happening when I go

It really isn't as bad as it sounds written out, especially compared to earlier in the year. Excepting Dream Along with Mickey and the standard castle photo, you probably won't be spending much time in the hub anyways. I know I've been slightly desensitized to it all, but there is almost no impact from the construction.

the major work is completed! thank goodness that is over with!

Not at all
oh thank goodness its my first (hopefully not last) visit iv been waiting my whole life for this and as the date approaches I keep hearing of all these negative things impacting some of the stuff I was most excited for so im so nervous now

No crane at night and during the day. You can see it in the back of the castle. As of today you need to walk around the left side to get trough to fantasy land.

We were there in January and are returning again this Jan. Do you think they'll continue the crane not up during the day? I had to have my sister photoshop it out of our family pic from last year!! Would love it not to be photobombing our pics this upcoming trip :)

Current state of the castle. That right ramp is looking wonderful behind those walls and I'm betting it will be open in the next few weeks. It's paved and looks like its ready for the finishing touches
