castle dining ressie question

I am trying to reserve the castle via online. I have the dining plan, but its only giving me the option to make a full deposit, not just a credit card hold...do i need to call or have they changed castle policies?

With all the problems there have been with the disney website, I would call.
That being said;
Are you logged in to the disney site when trying to reserve? Log in, retrieve your hotel reservation and then see if theres a dining plan option?

today the website has been working well. I made my ressie with the promo and now working thru dining and except for this castle problem been doing well...assuming disney doesnt loose all my ressies

Last year when I was wanting to make a reservation at the Castle it was the same way. I think unfortunately you have to pay the full at this one.

You will have to still have a credit card on file to hold the reservation in case of cancellation. There is a place to mark that you will be using the dining plan before you search for your reservation. At least there was on the old site. If not, just call dining and they can switch it over from the credit card if you already made the reservation or reserve with your dining plan if you haven't.

It charged me thw hole thing so I called and they refunded me holding it only with credit card. Call

You have to link your resort reservation before making the online ADR at CRT to avoid being charged in full up front. Once it links, it recognizes whether you have the dining plan, then will allow you to merely guarantee the ADR instead of paying in full. You have to watch closely to see if it going to mistakenly charge you.

It will come as a surprise to nobody there that the system is wonky and sometimes doesn't do it right.
