Castaway club ?'s

Do you have to sign up for the Castaway club? We sailed mid Dec. and have not received anything about it in the mail! Did get an e-mail for a DCL survey!! Thanks!!!

No, you don't have to sign up, but DCL is notoriously slow in getting materials out. You can call DCL and they will give you your Castaway Club number, if you need it.

We sailed last March and have never gotten anything from DCL about the castaway club. If it had not been for this board, I would not have known anything about it. When I booked our upcoming cruise, I called the DCL number and the agent gave me our numbers over the phone. Try calling and getting your number if you do not hear from them and are wanting to book your next cruise.

We sailed December 2001 and have never gotten anything in the mail or email. Also, had it not been for this board we would have never known about the Club.
I called and got our number, next cruise we did get the ship board credit, the free gift, (great towel & pins) and an invite to the "party".

I am familiar with the free gift and party invite, but what is the "ship board credit", I am sailing 5/10 on the 7 day western and am a CC member, am I entitled to this credit ?

A few years ago, you had to make ressies within 2-3 months. Now you have to make the ressies on board in order to get the credit. Some TA's will give ship board credit.

We cruised for the first time in December; we received our card and a welcome letter last week. We weren't expecting it, so it was a nice surprise.
