We met at 8AM, got off the boat at about 830. Stopped to drop our son off at Scuttles, and everyone else had already started by the time we got to the starting line. So call it between 830 and 9AM.

I ran/walked it last week. We met on the ship at 8:15. 9:04 was our start time.

I think start time may depend on the ship itinerary b/c I know my Eastern on the Fantasy had a different all ashore time than any of my Dream cruises (9:30 on the Fantasy vs. 8:30 on the Dream).

All four of my recent Dream cruises (two in 2016 and two in 2017) had an 8:00 meet time for the 5K. I walked it on 2 of those cruises. We disembarked around 8:30 with everyone else at all ashore time, then started the race around 9:00.

Is my husband, who will NOT be running, able to disembark with me and wait for me at the end?

As a side note, on the two stops at CC that had a 5K that I didn't do, I got to Serenity Bay just ahead of the first wave of runners, and I got off the ship right at all ashore time then walked the whole way while taking some pics and stopping in the shops along the way. So yes, your husband can easily disembark with you and wait at the finish line.

Last week it was about 9am, and last year when I did it from a different ship, it was the same time. So for planning purposes I would use than time. It can always vary though.

Somewhere around that 9am hour- few minutes early or later. But right around there.

I would love to do this with my oldest daughter in January. I am worried though that we will miss the characters for photo ops with the rest of my family and younger kids? Looking at past navigators the character meet and greets start at 9. Are there usually other opportunities to get pictures with the characters on the island than what is posted in the navigator?

This past summer only Olaf had a M&G that times were not posted on the Navigator. I got a lot of good character pics near the gangway when I returned to the ship in the afternoon around 2:30-3:30ish. I did note that the characters had different outfits for the morning M&G vs afternoon. I have a pic with Chip & Dale in their swim suits from when I went back to my room in the morning after the 5K, and another one with them as I got on the ship in the afternoon in their island shirts.

So I think I got my first taste of running in the heat last night, right here on Vancouver Island!
We have two wood stoves in our house - a small one upstairs and a big one downstairs. My husband has been away at school the last seven weeks, so I have only been burning the upstairs one because it is easier for me. Yesterday he came home and started up the big one, and my treadmill happens to be in the basement It was 80+ down there!!!
Not the humidity of the Caribbean, but definitely warm enough
