Cast Members Are Asked The Dumbest Questions!!!

Do you have a favourite?

  • At the Haunted Mansion. "Is this the Tower of Terror?"

  • "What time is the 3:00 parade?"

  • "What time will it stop raining?"

  • "Why is it raining?"

  • Is Mickey Mouse a cat or a dog?"

  • "Is the wait really 15 minutes, or are you trying to trick us?"

  • After a CM gave a guest directions the guest asked, "What castle?"

  • "Which way to Fantasia, Fantastic, Orgasmic...?" (Fantasmic! apparently goes by many different names

  • GUEST: "What time are the fireworks?" CM: "7:00" GUEST: "AM or PM?"

  • I like them all

  • I can't decide

Results are only viewable after voting.
DH insists the 3:00 parade question is valid, cuz that's just when it STARTS, not what time it reaches certain areas of the park...... I think he's thinking too much.

He's a Character Greeter - so his favorite - "It must be really hot in that outfit."

His reply - "What outfit?" ;)

Hey I heard the 3:00 parade one but it was a kid (about 10-12 yrs) and he was asking his mom. They were walking in front of us and the kid just kept saying "Mom...what time is the 3:00 parade?" over and over. The mom was distracted and I think a little aggrivated over something because finally she turned to him and said (in a not so nice voice) "Five O'Clock! What time did you think?" My dh and I burst out laughing.

Hey that was me and thanks for making the kid in the story a boy, when it was actually my girl. I hope I didn't yell too loud!:teeth:

I really liked the "What Castle" one and the Fantasmic one! Now that's Priceless!! :rotfl:

How about when you're trying to help friends plan their very 1st trip to WDW....you show them a map of WDW as they decide which hotel to stay at and they say...It really doesn't matter, we can walk to everything from the airport...Can't we?"

I just about want to passout! :faint:

To all the CM's...You really know how to handle quirky questions..which I'm sure you get them every minute of the day! Bravo!

I have a few favs from my days in attractions and merchandise. When I was in Tomorrowland. a lady came up to me and asked the following:

Lady: Where are the rides?
Me: Uhh...which ride are you looking for?
Lady: You know...the rides
Me: They're all over the place...

I've had people ask me if the TTA (aka people mover) was a coaster, also if it goes around the whole park.

Once, someone asked me where the ET ride was, and without thinking, I directed her to Extra Terrestrial Alien Encounter!

Oh...one of my favorite stories...I was working the Enchanted Tiki Room during Night of Joy. The show had just ended, the exit doors were wide open, and all the birds were making noises and moving around to the exit music. A young teenage boy walked in through the exit doors, stood in the middle of the now empty floor, stared up at all the birds, and asked "Is this a bar?"

Diznygirl, your DH is a greeter? So is my boyfriend! And I'm a performer. :)

Oh, Pooh was asked the other day if he voted- he replyed he was too young. hehe. (he pointed to himself then used his hand to indicate short.)

It's amazing how long it takes some guests to figure out that King Louie can't sign. People will put pen and books into his big, stiff hands and just wait expectantly, even when he repeatedly drops them. It's too funny. Then, of course, Pooh bear who *does* sign gets asked all the time if he is able to. hehehe

At Alien Encounter:

Guest: Is this a ride?
CM: No, Its a show
Guest: Well, does it go upside down?
CM: No, its just a show. It doesn't move.
Guest: Does the room spin around? I don't like spinning.
CM: No. Really. Its JUST A SHOW. No movement at all.
Guest: Well....ok....I guess.....

These are all very funny, indeed. My question is this. The title of this thread talks about dumbest questions (from WDW guests, I presume). I seem to remember a thread some time ago where a nurse wanted to know about the most idiotic requests that other nurses had received and that OP was blasted for saying that people had idiotic requests. Why is this question ok but the other one wasn't? I found both of them to be funny :D

Angiebelle - yes, DH is a greeter - worked tea cups with "the bad boys of Fantasyland" - the Tweedles. His new bid is Tomorrowland with Chip n'Dale (?)

Anyway - when he worked security (busy guy!) he'd get asked "where are the ferries?" And he would reply "The Fairies are at the castle!"

So, some castmembers have the dumbest answers! ;)

:earsgirl:

One of my co-workers, when asked why we were stamping hands as the park closed: "Well, you see, we have a lot of extra ink to use up, and if we don't use it today, it'll go bad"

My personal favorite that I have been asked "Do you have animals here?" (I work at AK) (or ... in response to my request to throw away the straw for the safety of the animals "What animals?")

When I worked at TDS, guests asked all the time if we worked there. Umm, khaki shorts with nylons, white socks, sneakers, bright blue sweater...

Guest: Do you work here?
Me: No, I enjoy wearing khaki shorts with nylons, in the winter in NH
Guest: (laughs)

THANK GOD she laughed, is all I can say! I was in rare form that day.

I love the Fantasmic! one - laughed out loud hear at work.
