Cash Reservations Discount?

I thought I read somewhere that DVCers got some sort of discount when booking cash reservations at Disney hotels. Is this only DVC properties? Maybe it was the AP discount that was mentioned and not DVC at all.
I asked at DGC if they had a DVC discount and was told they didn't.

DVC members can save 25% off rack rate when booking DVC Villas for cash nights. These reservations need to be booked through Member Services and fall under the same housekeeping schedule as point reservations. The discount isn't always available.

AP discount rooms (which are sometimes a better discounts) need to be booked through the regular Disney reservations line, not Member services.
