Cash/point split reservation ? - need help

Hi all,

We have never done this, and I know I've read about it in the boards several times...but I don' t recall exactly how it works.

We are trying to help out our friends during a summer visit; OKW has availablility, but we do not have enough extra points for the whole reservation. I recall many who have stayed the weekend on cash and weekdays on points. If the reservations can be made, can they somehow be linked to make the stay continous without worrying about checking in and out and in and out. Looking for a Wednesday night through Monday night stay. 2 nights on points - 2 nights on cash - then 2 more night on points. Total of 6 nights nights.

Is this reasonably "doable," or should we just abandon the idea now???? Or is it relatively painless once the reservation(s) is made????

If you make the cash reservation via MS, then they are easily "linkable" - if you make it via CRO, then you should be able to call MS with the CRO confirmation # and get it linked. As a last resort, be sure to let the front desk know when you check-in, and they should be able to link things together.
