We have never eaten at Casey's Corner, although we've walked past it often. My dad will be with us and he is a huge baseball fan, so I think he'd enjoy just having a hot dog here. I have heard that there is an opening lunch ceremony when they open up at 11:00am (they sing Take Me Out to the Ball Game and have an opening 'pitch'). I'm not expecting much (I realize it's just a quick service and quite small with limited seating), but I'm wondering if it still happens? The article I read about was 2013. Has anyone been here lately to experience this? TIA

I can't vouch for the opening, but we ate there last week and thought it was great. We are usually CHH people but had two MK days. DD loves hot dogs, so we gave it a try and it was great! We will be back on a future trip. The staff was also very nice about accommodating my allergy and DD's entire bottle of spilled chocolate milk.

I think he'd enjoy just having a hot dog here

NOTE: Casey's Corner is such a convenient Fast Food location, it's a shame that they now
have such poor hot dogs. It is a Hot Dog Stand, but with bad hot dogs! Casey's changed
the dog formula, and changed buns to multi-grain. Both are poor, and when combined,
makes for one terrible sandwich. Saving grace is the fixin's bar, but even that has been
reduced in the amount of items. But, the french fries are very good. Much to my surprise,
chicken nuggets are surprising good for fast food. It's a nice place to sit-listen to the piano
player or watch fireworks, but not for food.
Much like the poem, "THE MIGHTY CASEY'S HAS STRUCK OUT !"..

Ball Park nachos sound great:-) I didn't realize they were on the menu:thumbsup2 Mainly going for the baseball theme.

From a former hot dog junkie, I just won't eat at Casey's... A hot dog is a hot dog and that's not a good thing. (You wouldn't believe what they did for my health) :rotfl2:

P.S. I'm only kidding... If you love hot dogs, bon appetit!

Corn dog nugget are the way to go.. for us its a memory place, lots and lots of wonderful memories.

So now we sometimes watch the opening show, and grab a couple of Corn Dog nuggets and some drinks to share and move along. I will say I have to agree with other poster when they say the hog dogs aren't as good, and the topping bar is lacking. Its a basic hotdog, with a lot of bread I mean a lot of bread.. and no seating, inside and the outside the tables have a lot of people doing everything but eating.

I absolutely agree with this review. I have found the quality to be alarmingly bad. I won't eat there again until they offer a somewhat decent dog.

It's a tradition for our trip to eat our first lunch there. Disney world is not known for its 5 star quick service food but in my opinion these hotdogs are fine, and I was born and raised a mile from NASCAR's Martinsville Speedway, famous for some of the best hotdogs in sports.

It's a budget saver as well, they don't murder your wallet. Also one of the best and most inexpensive snacks at the park with their corndog nuggets.

None of us are baseball fans either so if he is a baseball junkie you can't miss it. They'll throw you some crackerjacks if you make it for the ceremony as well!

Thanks for your reply. Yes, he is a huge baseball fan! We aren't expecting gourmet hot dogs and are going OOP for this meal, so it's nice to hear it's one of the more inexpensive places in the park. My DD's will love the corndog nuggets I'm sure. And we might even catch crackerjacks :goodvibes Thanks slayd!

Just ate there Monday at lunchtime. I really didn't want to eat there, but we were with friends, and that was her suggestion to grab something quick there so we could watch the mid-day parade. There is minimal indoor seating, so the majority will overflow eating at the tables outside. Small menu, and I am normally not a fan of hot dogs, but I ordered the corn dog nugget meal, which includes corn dog nuggets and fries. It was reasonably priced for park food less than $10 and I split that with my daughter for an inexpensive lunch.

We agree with those who don't like the food, ate here twice & had freezing cold undercooked "hot" dogs both times. Not worth the money at all. How about going for the opening song & then eating elsewhere?

We have eaten here a few time, always pretty good for what it is. My son LOVES the hot dog with pulled pork on top. The corn dog nuggets are pretty good too. We love to grab a bite and watch the show in front of the castle while we eat. :)

The corn dog nuggets are probably one of my favorite things in all of Disney World. I feel like it's a must have when we go. We usually just pick them up and walk since it's so crowded and we are usually just stopping in for a snack:).
