DS(3) is convinced that the CJCT is the best ride in the park. Seriously. He walks around all day long singing the song. He knows all the words, and sings it over and over and over again. I must have the only child on the planet who thinks this is the best ride ever.

Anyhow, has anyone ever seen any kind of Casey Junior toys or apparel at DLR? I would just about kill for a toy Casey train for my little guy.

Yours too huh? :rotfl2: My DD5 has us on that train every single day of our trip! She has the song memorized as well! I have not seen any toys are clothing related to the ride for sale. She likes Heimlich's Chew Chew train as well and we DID find a bean bag Heimlich toy at the Disney Store! That was a rare find!

In the past some Dumbo product, like T shirts, would have the Casey JR train in the background of the screen print. They had some Dumbo items at TDS a many years ago with the DVD release (shirts and maybe PJ Pals), but I have not seen any for the upcoming Dumbo Blu- Ray release this week (?)

If they watch the Dumbo movie, they might like Dumbo and Timothy Mouse, TDS sells those characters in beanies. I do not remember seeing a Casey Jr train. My kids used to like the book though, had pictures of the train.

In August, me and 2 of my adult women travel friends climbed into the Monkey Car and rode this train for the first time. With us, was a Mom, Dad, and small child, I did not even realize adults FIT in there! It was fun, too, we could not stop laughing. :thumbsup2

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can......I knew I could! I knew I could!

That is cute! My five year old insists on bellowing "choo choo" so loudly that I doubt he even hears the song. He LOVES that ride. I hate riding in the freaking monkey car--I think I finally have him convinced that the caboose is even better than the monkey car.

You mean this train obsession could go on until he's 5 YEARS OLD?! :rotfl2: I was thinking it was a 3 year old thing. Boy, am I in trouble! People complain about the IASW song being stuck in their heads all day long. Not us. It's Casey. Comin' down the track....

Ooops, sorry to be the one to break it to you... :rotfl2: Yes, my five year old still is VERY much obsessed with choo-choos!

:lmao: I first went to DL when I was 3 so I cannot remember if I actually rode in the monkey car carriage, but on my return trip 15 years later (I'm from overseas) I was determined to ride in the monkey car! I had one of those 'Day at Disneyland' videos which I watched over and over growing up, with dreams of riding the monkey carriage hahah!

I know this wouldn't appeal to a 3 year old as much as a toy, but are there trading pins that you could get with the ride on it - a keepsake for when your son is older?

Welcome to my life except it is my dear HUSBAND who LOVES this ride. We have been doing this one for 25 years! One time in college in the 80's we had the best driver, they went super fast and went around the track twice in the same amount of time. Now our children like it, ( DD 9 and DS 6) Although it is always DH who asks to go... But I Love storybook land...My husband had the book as a child, that may be a nice gift for your son. Enjoy

DS4 loves that train too. Last time we were there, it went down for a short period while we were in line. He insisted we keep going back to check on it. When he noticed it was back up, he was thrilled. It did not even matter to him that the line was much longer when we returned. If there is merchandise, that would be cool. I've never seen any though.

Ok Folks! next Monday is my 48th B-Day and I insist that I get to ride Casey Jr every time we ar in DL. My favorite is the very back of the caboose. :woohoo:

My son loves Casey Jr. too. We just went to DL last week and he rode it serveral times, day time and night time. I did not see any Casey Jr. toys in the Park and do not see any online either. What about a T shirt with a picture of Casey Jr and your son's name on it? Here is a good picture of Casey Jr. and you can buy that T shirt transfer paper at Staple or Office Max and a white T shirt and make him a shirt.

I would be willing to make it for you and embroider his name on it in disney font if you like. Let me know if you are interested. I made a bunch of shirts for our trip last week.

When we were there in August, that was our son's (32 months old) favorite ride! Multiple times a day. That, and the monorail. Yes, and it had to be the monkey car, evertime. We had one incident where we got to the monkey car and there were people inside and DS had a fullblown tantrum until we said we could all squeeze in.

i thought Dumbo would have been the hit ride.

Wow, that is so incredibly nice of you to offer to make a shirt! Sometimes, this board just amazes me! :lovestruc I really do appreciate it, but would feel completely guilty asking you to take the time to do it. But I am definitely going to look into the t-shirt transfer paper, and work on it!

Thanks for the great idea!

My son is 9 now and sings the song often. He also does an amazing impression of "I think I can." He sounds just like the train. He loves the backward caboose more than the monkey cage but really loves the front car so he can smell the smoke and hear the music the best.

He still loves Casey Junior but has graduated to a different train. Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road is one of his very favorites.

It's the wildest ride in the wilderness!

I have to say that Casey and Storybook are our two favorite rides in the park. We ride them first in the morning and again at night to experience it both ways each day at the parks. I'm in my 40's, so I don't think my love for this ride will ever leave. :)

Funny you should post this. A friend of mine posted on FB the other day that her son loves to watch the YouTube video of this ride over and over again. You might want to look for the video for him :)

I should look for the video? Ha, ha, ha. My 3 year old thinks my iPad is actually his, and all he does is watch Casey Junior videos on it. Over and over. In multiple languages. Seriously.
