Some thoughts. I may be naive, but I still can't grasp Casey's attitude. I was thinking even if she didn't love Caylee or care that she's dead doesn't make her guilty. But what I can't grasp is that we're all strangers to Caylee and we're feeling it in our hearts. Even if Casey was glad Caylee died (accidentally, say), where's the emotion from hearing about a baby having a meter stick poked in her eye skull eye socket? Where's the facial expressions from hearing about a baby eaten by animals? Even if she were happy Caylee was gone, wouldn't a normal human being at least show something, anything in their faces? How can she be mentally normal?? I know she doesn't fit the legal definition of insane, but she has to be mentally ill to be able to smile and sit there like that. I truly don't understand.

You know, I understand what you're saying. I think in today's world we tend to believe that people who do horrible things must have something wrong with them. I just don't believe that. While I know that that can be the case in some instances (like the woman with the post partum depression who drowned her children - I really don't think she was responsible for her actions), I also believe that there are some people who are just bad - even evil.

These people focus on themselves to the detriment of those around them. I think this is Casey. I think she is contemptuous of her dad because he will not "protect her" (in her own eyes, of course) and lie for her (after all, she doesn't have problems with lies, why should anybody else?). Since he's not doing what she wants, he's getting what he deserves in her opinion. Remember, in the jailhouse interviews he was "the best dad and grandfather anybody could ever have". Now, he's a turncoat because she's what's important (again, as far as she's concerned).

Something that is totally creeping me out and making me SICK at the same time is hearing Casey speak in court this morning. It was like no big deal to her. She is so sure that this case is going to get thrown out for some reason. She has always had her way and I feel like she thinks that she is going to have her way here. Lord please don't let this happen.

I hate her. I know it's a strong word, but I do. When George broke down today on the stand my heart just broke for him. For her to sit there with no emotion at all just makes me SICK! I cried with George, and he's not even my Dad.

I hope she takes the stand & I hope JA tears her apart and puts her in her place.

I know what you mean. I think the fact that I know somebody similar to her, and he has always managed to get out of everything he's done (several criminal charges) makes me even more disgusted with her. She has gotten away with so much over her lifetime and now probably thinks she can literally get away with murder.

I would like to see her testify too, but based on the timeframe they've discussed, I don't think it will happen (unless they're keeping it a secret to keep the uproar down).

What disgusts me is that Casey only cries when the testimony is bad for her defense.

When Lee was upset last Friday about being excluded, it didn't help her and she cried.

When Cindy was a mess on the stand over Caylee, it didn't help Casey so she cried.

Then today when the kooky, tipsy, rambling but don't have a point grief counselor was talking about Chicken Soup for the Soul and saying that essentially any emotion could be a sign of grief she cried.

I would love to see Jeff Ashton cross examine her, but I don't see that happening.

I started out thinking she would testify. That she is too full of herself to not. Then I started looking at the way the defense was going, and it was brought up that her lawyers have not visited her in jail since 08? Or a long time, anyway, which leads to the conclusion they are not prepping her to testify. However, then the competency hearing came up. And then the judge made a few comments (which I can't remember verbatim) to the effect of, let's make sure if she does or doesn't testify, it's her choice. Those two things now make me believe she wants to testify and her lawyers are advising against it. They never prepped her, they never intended her to testify, but if she wants to, that would cause them to question her competency. So do I think she will? I have no idea if she will or not. But I do think she wants to. Now we just have to see if Casey will get her way.

This is the only reason that I think she may. You know she is so full of herself and thinks that everybody believes everything that she says. Pictures just load them on a photobucket. You copy it and then the icon above little yellow box second one from the end click it and then paste the pic in their. I had chocolat on that thread over yonder and posted a store that sells chocolate and bacon together it was so gooood
