I can't believe this woman's theory. She may have a point. But Casey had a way of turning reality on and off during those 31 days. Lying to Cindy EVERYDAY making up stories that Caylee was with the nanny, to me, none of this makes any sense.

Since grieving people sometimes do the same thing that caused them grief, or lack of, maybe Casey should get some duct tape, take some chloroform, lay down in her car trunk, wrap herself is 3 bags and ask Kronk to move her body around for a few months. Problem solved.

I'm back on page 166, but I'm looking through my University Library databases for a match to "Southeast" or "Southeastern" and the only publications we've got are the Southeastern Journal of Social Science, Southeast Asian Journal of Tropical Medicine and Public Health and the Southeastern. Environmental Law Journal.

A for searching Karioth, there are NO refereed journal articles under her name. Is she an adjunct up at UF? I'm sure they don't have Assistant or full Professors for any length of time on staff without publications.

Notice under her select publications that there are no serious academic journals listed. I think she fell into her position 40 years ago and was granted tenure and then has done nothing academically since, but they are stuck with her as she is a tenured professor.

I have seen LOTS of grieving women in my line of work. NONE did this sort of thing.

I took my own butt to the OB/GYN when I wanted to go on the pill. My mommy didn't do it for me. And, at 19, you should be able to handle that stuff on your own, anyway. I made all my own appointments even when I was in high school! Ai-yi-yi!

Good point, same for me and I'm 58 freakin' yrs. old! (That was almost before there was birth control!).

Like many here, I've also dealt with grief. Yes, everyone grieves differently. But while one can "put on a good face" publicly or whatever you want to call it - grief eventually comes along, usually in the wee hours of the morning, and brings you to your knees.

That's if one is truly grieving, of course.

Amazing that after 3 years, something has finally triggered Casey's grieving mechanism of her brain. She really is playing this up. Why so sad suddenly? Wait! I bet the doctor has an answer for this, too.

I hope Ashton asks her if keeping the "trauma" secret and lying about it is a normal response to grief.

I can believe the drinking and partying and all that. I lost a friend each year of high school, and I know that some of our friends were mad, some were sad, some decided to live it up while they were still living. But these were high schoolers who had a friend die. Not a mother whose child died at her own hand.

I hope Ashton asks her what year it is and what planet she's on during the cross. This is all a bunch of hooey!!!! If she says it would be normal for a grieving young person to turn over the body of their dead child to their meter reader, I will vomit!

I would like to declare myself a disologist...I study all things disboards, with a concentration on the community board, specifically those threads dealing with incompetent lawyers, ridiculous grief counselor testimony and blaringly guilty defendents.

This line of questioning should never be allowed. This talking in hypotheticals is ridiculous.

I agree!!

Just talked to my husband- he confirmed what I was remembering- he took this ladys class when he attended FSU...I remember him having to write his own eulogy.
