I think we can all agree that the defense is lacking a smidge. It's hard NOT to be biased towards the defense after watching Baez et al at work. But I think Perry is trying not to let that interfere with Casey's defense. He has said numerous times that it wouldn't be fair to the defendant during his rulings.

I know the defense doesn't have a lot to work with, but they could at least make it LOOK like they are trying.

Coyote Facts
1. Coyotes are found throughout the State of Florida, including Pinellas County. They have been in*the state since the 1970's.

2. Coyotes are in the same family (Canidea) as dogs, wolves and foxes. They are medium in size (2 ft in height, 20 – 35 lbs). Their coat varies from gray to rusty brown and the tail is bushy.

3. Coyotes are very adaptable, living in virtually all terrestrial and marsh habitats. They have also adapted and thrive in urban/suburban areas.

4. Coyotes are omnivores (plant and animal eaters). They eat just about anything. Like turkey vultures, they are often seen scavenging on road kill and other animal carcasses. Their diverse diet is the reason they can adapt so easily to a variety of habitats and including urban/suburban areas.

5. Coyotes usually hunt alone, sometimes as a pair, but rarely, as a pack.

6. Coyotes are most active at dawn and/or dusk but have been seen anytime of the day. Home ranges typically average 10 square miles.

7. Coyotes are generally shy and elusive. Like all wildlife, feeding of coyotes will result in eliminating their natural fear of humans.

Interesting reading in Krystal Holloway's 2/17/10 interview - here's just a few of the items that stood out to me

Pg 15: (re her thinking Zenaida's description was being based on her)
Well she has a tattoo and it goes down her arm. She always wears her hair straight, but sometimes she wears it curly. She's Hispanic, she's got beautiful teeth. She has a beautiful body. (Note: apparently this is how KH describes herself)

Pg 17:
did you and George become romantically involved?
KH No we didn't.
CE No?
KH No.
CE Okay. I had to ask.
KH No it's okay.
SA You.., you've heard that mentioned before haven't you?
KH Yeah.
SA Who., who., how did that get started? Did you... ah, that ah, that y'all had become romantically involved do you know?

spending a lot of time together and we were texting back and forth.

(On same page she mentions: I have seizures).(Note: where have I heard about seizures before )

Pg 26:
He.. he just said that, I really believe that it was an accident. And it just went (pg 28) wrong and she tried to cover it up.

Pg 28:
He didn't say that, he said, urn, like he knew it was a (Inaudible)

Pg 36:
Okay you had said something about you gave her a broach or something like that? (Note: KH gave to Cindy)
KH Uh-huh. (Affirmative)
(My note: Wonder if that was part of the jewelry the sister was in jail for?)

Read page 38 about "Kalani" asking her for money the day they found Caylee's remains - whaaaa?

Pg 42:
Urn, did he ever tell you what they talked about when Casey was home from jail?
KH Urn, you know what? Ah, as a matter of fact there was one time that he was really pissed and he.. he threw her up against the wall and choked her.
SA Okay do you know why he threw her up against the wall and choked her?
KH Because he said, I know you killed her. What did you do with her? And he
choked her. And Cindy had to get George off of.. off of Casey.
(My note: Hmmm, thought it was Cindy who choked her before Caylee was missing? Maybe Casey's main problem is oxygen deprivation)

Pg 44:
They had gotten into this huge fight and he.. he wanted to throw her out. He was done and he knew.
SA He knew that...
KH That she did something.
SA Okay.
KH Because everything that was coming out.
SA Right.
KH The smell of the car.

Pg 46:
When he told you this about this incident where, where he threw Casey up against the wall. And confronted her and said ah, I know you killed her. Was this before or after the time he said to you, this was a terrible accident? Which of those two things happened first?
KH That, that had to have been before she was out on bond.
SA Okay. So, was Casey in jail when ...
KH He told me it was an accident.

Pg 67:
She, she said she was in jail with Casey for a period of time. (my note - talking about the sister)
KH I guess.
CE What do you know about that?
KH I don't.
CE No?
KH No, I mean she told me about it, but you know I don't...
SA What did she tell you about the passing letters and papers and all that? What'd she tell you about that?
KH Just that they passed letters back and forth. Like you know.. I don't care what other people think or you know. 'Cause everybody would bang on her door or something and call her names or... I don't know.

Pg 69:
He knew that she was in the jail with...
KH Uh-huh. (Affirmative)
CE ...with Casey?
KH Yeah. She.. she met urn, George.. Let me see... at my house. Finally got to meet him at my house. And he was like floored like twins wow. Yeah. (My note: they are NOT twins)

KH And then that's when she told him.
CE She told him?
KH That she met, seen... you know or whatever. (Note: talking about the sister meeting Casey)
CE And what, what did he ask of her? Did he ask anything about.. 'Cause he really hasn't any communication with Car.. ah, Casey.
KH No .

KH No I don't know.

KH No only through a lawyer.
SA Did he ask you sister how she was doing or anything like that?
KH I don't recall. Maybe I'm not sure. It wasn't like significant for me.

KH Oh well I don't know what the letters you know was , what was written in the letters. I just know that they communicate through the lawyer.
SA How do you know that ah, the letters were being passed to Casey and George?
KH He, George told me.

SA Letters are suppose to go through the jail not, not the attorneys are not suppose carrying 'em back and forth. But just you don't understand it. You're not the first person who's told us about this. We're aware ...

SA So, you followed that in the news or you seen how they keep. How everybody's ah, how the defense now is accusing this Roy Kronk of being the killer. Did ah,he ever, George ever say listen you know early on before the body was found or, hey there's this weird meter reader guy's been hanging around us. We think maybe he had something to do with it?

Could you please explain how you think Judge Perry is biased?

Many judges would have already held Baez in contempt and he would be paying more fines than have already been assessed or his butt would be sitting in a jail cell. Judge Perry has been extremely patient even though Baez has defied court orders about discovery more than once.

He is doing everything possible to keep things fair. He is the Chief Judge and is on the budget committee, he doesn't want this to end in a mistrial, he wants justice whether it is the jury saying guilty or not guilty.

Tony Pipitone reported that defense may not conclude until the end of next week and with rebuttals and closings, the jury may not get to deliberations until as late as July 6, 7, or 8. Looks like cruise juror isn't going to be happy with his new vacation plans.

Casey specifically had to sign off that she knew Baez was not qualified for this case, to remedy that the State is paying for three other attorney's. It's a hard thing to do, put on a defense when you don't know what your witnesses are going to say or your witnesses were not aware of conditions around the case, thus they change their opinion upon hearing. Or, your witnesses make up their credentials and at the same time break a court order.

Baez simply doesn't have the experience for this case, he didn't realize his client did nothing but lie, thus he has done nothing to try to find the truth. He didn't have the foresight to look at June 16th on the computer? It's like Amateur hour. The judge for all the rules Baez has broken, his inability to meet deadlines and enter evidence, has told him at different times to look into different cases so that he could have some back ground on legal principles that might help his client.

For what the State does have they certainly didn't need the help of the judge, they looked ahead and had a plan they executed.

Now what the State proved, that could have been questioned by the defense, perhaps his best defense would have been no defense at all. Baez could have argued in closing the state didn't prove X. But he certainly didn't want to do that... He wanted some crazy disjointed notion out there that people were supposed to believe. And all the while Casey has had the option to fire him and she didn't. They deserve each other.

I think she's guilty as sin, I hope the jury agrees.

I disagree - I think the judge is very fair. He has given the defense team a lot of leeway in terms of trying not to punish the defendant for the mistakes of her lawyers.

But yes, we do have coyotes in Central FL. I live southwest of Orlando, and saw a coyote in my backyard 2 years ago. The next day I started making calls to put up a 6' fence.

While I think Baez is incompetent, Casey has more lawyers working for her than most indigent suspects.

I can't even begin to fathom how you can feel Perry is biased towards the prosecution. I think the judge has shown tremendous restraint and deserves a medal.

To have the verdict toss, it has to be shown that a different outcome could have resulted.

The one of those I may agree with is the duct tape video. I don't think it would win an appeal though because I don't think it will have any affect on the outcome of the trial.

My point, Jeff Asthon was wrong. I am a former Orlando resident, and I KNOW, there are coyotes in the state of Florida. It was also stated, the bones were chewed on and scattered by animals.

That is b/c it is preposterous to state that 'maybe a dog' buried Caylee's skull up the the ear area in humus (not hummus). That lady is not credible. Way less credible than Mr. Ashton as a matter of fact. Come on! A dog? It's ridiculous.

The jailhouse videos should only be allowed , IF she "admitted or confessed" guilt. The smell "science" has not been proven to be reliable.

I disagree, and I'm not alone. She should have been mirandized.
