Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

We know that Casey looked at the transition photo between the picture and the skull during recess with her angry face. Do we know if she saw the pictures of the other remains during a break with her angry face?

I am having a difficult time conjuring up anger for Casey (whom I believe did this) while looking or even thinking about those photos.

I am having a difficult time establishing WHY she would be ANGRY at all at any time when seeing the photos.

Now an ordinary mother my feel sad mixed with anger towards whomever did this. But that type of anger is not what I get that you guys saw with Casey.

Does anyone know what the woman who Casey wrote all the jailhouse letters to was in jail for?

I think it's funny how on page 13659 of the letters she talks about how another inmate should get some help for her mental illness. I believe that's a case of the pot calling the kettle black.

Hey, we have no court today, so that's all I have to offer for those of us needing our fix!!! :lmao:;)

Seriously, I realize body language can be subjective & I can't say I agree with ALL her blogs, but found some interesting & informative.

I.E., we've seen DS "comforting" KC, but I never noticed DS's one clenched fist until pointed out in the still photos and referenced by Dr. Glass. Made me think of my own comforting/being comforted gestures: flat hands, holding/rubbing the back; maybe one arm around shoulders & the other holding hands - soft grip with pats & strokes. NEVER one hand slung over shoulders with other hand clenched in a fist. Think about it.

I dunno, I can't personally vouch for Dr. Glass, but she's got some pretty impressive credentials.

Absolutely. Struck me the other day how many lives she's touched emotionally, mentally & financially beyond her immediate family.

The REAL Zenaida Gonzalez-Fernandez; two LE resigned or fired (Jesse Grund & Anthony Rusciano); all her "friends" questioned by LE, hounded by media;
all the volunteer searchers sent on a wild goose chase...to name a few.

Do you have the link to the above mentioned Dr. Glass analysis regarding DS comforting Casey??? I am really interested in seeing it but can't find it on her website. TIA

Did you notice that when the jury was out, Casey was looking at those pictures, but when they showed the same pictures again with the jury back in the courtroom, she couldn't look and was sad? Her acting ability really stinks.

I read somewhere that she was so angry because that particular photo - the one of her with Caylee that they used to superimpose the duct tape on Caylee's face - was one of the ones she and Baez had sold for $200,000 (to ABC I think). ;)

Maybe she was afraid she'd have to give some $$$ back because of copyrights and all

(As soon as I find the article again I will edit this post and insert a link).

I found this in response to a blog about allowing the superimposed picture in:
The Judge made a big deal about having the ability to reserve his ruling on Baez's motion for mistrial until the verdict is published. This was a message to both the defense and the State to make a deal. However slight the possibility is, the State now has "a concern" that the Judge could grant a mistrial based on the video. I think there will be a pretty even split of legal opinion on whether the prejudicial effect of the video outweighed its probative value. It is time for both sides to make a deal for life in prison.
Thoughts?

I would take a mistrial over a plea.

I don't think she should get off based on an accident that she is lying about.

State can do it again and they can crop her out and voila--

Anger, to me, is just the wrong emotion and her courtroom conduct is just going to tick off the state who knows they have the right person. JMHO. YMMV.

HLN says the tattoo artist will be called. Not sure if today or not, they turned on her mic after she was speaking, so the first part of the anchor's sentence was cut.

OT news--have you seen Gabby Giffords photo that she released. She looks GREAT!!!! I am thrilled that, given what she went through--that they were able to make her physical recovery look very well. Hopefully her shooter will get the appropriate psychiatric treatment needed to make him competent to stand trial.

What tattoo artist?

I agree about Gabby Giffords. That is fabulous.

The one that did Casey's "Beautiful Life" tattoo during the 31 days that Caylee was not reported missing (per state) or deceased (per defense).

Evidently she was also supposed to get another tattoo, but her mom made her be accountable and that messed up her plans.

I would hope that Casey discussed why she was getting it. I believe defense is going with that it was to honor Caylee. State isn't buying that and neither am I.

I also noticed that she had her head down the entire time that the prosecution was speaking and then when her attorney took over she held her head up and even laughed a little at the trash/garbage questioning. I could just smack her!:headache:

OOoh. I guess I hadn't heard about that!! Wow. Beautiful Life... Is it a portrait of Caylee? Or just words?

The state knows they have the right person, but does the jury? I'd be fine with a plea...an admission she did it, and she'd be put away. I can't imagine the effects of a mistrial either. The money, the time, and trying to get a jury after this fiasco. My kids didn't know anything about this case beforehand...they do now. Not that they're in the jury pool, but the number of people familiar with the case, and all the drama of the trial, has increased dramatically. Much harder to find a jury who can be impartial.

She looks amazing!

I saw a male tattoo artist interviewed a while back...not sure if he owns the place or if he actually did the tattoo...but all I really heard him say was what a great mom Casey seemed to be. I do wonder what Casey actually said about the tattoo itself when she had it done.

Is the defense witness list published somewhere where we can take a look at it?
Not on this thread. If you find one, let me know. What I saw with a google search I didn't really look at because it was from '08.

I would be the farm that admitting she did something won't happen. And it is in her interest to have a mistrial. Why would she admit to something when a mistrial guarantees she won't be found guilty right now. She got all this attention (except when focus was on Caylee) and a mistrial means she gets to do it all over again.

She has zero incentive to plea.
