much better thanks - breathing is soooo much easier but walking is still sore but im guessimg thats because the muscles have been sooo streatched out it will take weeks to heal.

have an appointment tomorrow to make sure the tubes are draining the fluid around Nicole's lungs so hopefully they are doing their job.

pixiedust: for a great appt tomorrow!!!

Most of the pictures have her big "look at me smile" going on and I just don't see it as directed at Caylee. Caylee is IN the picture with her, but the pictures have more a "look at me with a child, don't I look good" vibe to them. There are very few where you might actually think that is her child and not just some random kid she is taking a picture with.
That's what I've felt too. And reading those letters, when she talks about how pissed off she was at the clothes her mother picked, and about getting ready so she would look "pretty" in court. She definitely is into herself, and I think that's what a lot of having Caylee meant to her...being the "star" as Caylee's mother.
As far as withdrawals? This is REALLY sad. Went to the beach today. You know what I did while my kids and husband were in the water and sand playing ? I watched the videos on WFTV of the parts of the trial I missed yesterday!
Isn't it nice that we have each other to share that kind of thing with? LOL We went to a school banquet tonight, and I almost turned to the woman next to me and said "So, are you watching the Casey Anthony trial?" but caught myself. :scared1: My DH would've been very    . (When we got home I had him and DS move the treadmill into the LR where I watch the trial. :) Had they done that 3 weeks ago, like I had asked, I could've been well on my way to skinny by now.)
MSNBC is having a Casey Anthony Trial Special right now :thumbsup2
On again at 9 PM!
Hey, we have no court today, so that's all I have to offer for those of us needing our fix!!! :lmao:;)

Seriously, I realize body language can be subjective & I can't say I agree with ALL her blogs, but found some interesting & informative.

I.E., we've seen DS "comforting" KC, but I never noticed DS's one clenched fist until pointed out in the still photos and referenced by Dr. Glass. Made me think of my own comforting/being comforted gestures: flat hands, holding/rubbing the back; maybe one arm around shoulders & the other holding hands - soft grip with pats & strokes. NEVER one hand slung over shoulders with other hand clenched in a fist. Think about it.

I dunno, I can't personally vouch for Dr. Glass, but she's got some pretty impressive credentials.
OK...you got me with the bolded. I'll have to take a look.
But I will say ...

I watched a 20/20 Special on Friday night on CA … let me tell you, THIS thread had way more (up-to-date) information than 20/20 on CA and the trial!

I sat there saying … I knew that, I knew that, I knew that … I was hoping they would have something to say that I did not know!

Thanks again to all of you that have contributed on a daily basis to THIS thread. I am on Websleuths also and to be honest, while I really like WS, the CA coverage is way overwhelming for me. Too many threads going.

Bravo DIS!!! :goodvibes
:thumbsup2 We're so good! :dance3: I tried Websleuths, but yeah, it's too overwhelming to me. It's like a huge mall...I can't do huge malls. :sad2:
Been a lurker on these CA threads, and just wanted to say "thanks" for all the links and everyone's personal insights and theories. I'm not quite as on top of this trial as you guys:worship: because I really just started paying closer attention to it a week or so ago (although I could have given you a blow-by-blow of the Scott Peterson casepopcorn::).

Being a little late to jump in the game, my question is: has the defense said anything as to where Casey and her dad put Caylee after she "accidentally drowned"? Or has that not been mentioned yet and it will come up once it's time for the defense to put on their side?
Welcome! I remember being in WDW during the Scott Peterson trial and catching some of it. Thank goodness our next trip to WDW isn't until August, or I might have to reschedule. ;) As has been answered upthread...nope, no story on what happened after the "drowning"...I think they're waiting to see what storyline fits the evidence.

SO happy you're feeling better, and good luck tomorrow! We'll be waiting for news!

If anyone is interested, there's a special about Casey Anthony on right now on MSNBC.

Watching the MSNBC show. It shows Baez's opening statement where he says it was a tragic accident that snowballed out of control. Isn't that what George told that woman he had an affair with...the one he met when they were handing out flyers after Caylee went missing? I think he might've said it when he was having that suicidal episode?? Anyway, I always got the impression that he was TRYING TO BELIEVE that that's what happened...that he was starting to believe that Casey definitely had something to do with it, but that he was trying to convince himself that it MUST'VE been an accident that snowballed out of control. And I think Baez is using that...he took those words, and used it with all the other vague comments/writings to create a defense.

Not only do I want Casey to be convicted, but I want to see BAEZ lose.

Oh, I just had an awful mental picture of Baez gloating all over every news show on earth! Made me ill!

Kurby, good luck tomorrow!

This link has probably been posted on here already but I just saw the "Caylee's hair" photo and OMG :sad1:

I had no idea there was that much of her hair found. For some reason this photo just hurt my heart so much. :sad2:

There are only 4 photos on this link (all approved by the court for release) and the hair is 3rd from top.

http://www.cayleedaily.com/2011/06/warning-graphic-evidence-pictures-of-caylee-released-to-media/

If you don't want to look, I can tell you that there was almost her whole head of hair left. I wasn't going to look, but then I thought about the hair evidence, etc. and wanted to see what they had to work with.

Now it further strengthens my feelings (if that is possible) that Caylee needs justice for this terrible act against her.
:guilty:

I hate that I am not a cryer--tears just don't come easily until a mountain of emotion has built up in me. But I can still feel the lump in my throat and welling of tears--so though I am not crying, I am saddened to see what that poor baby girl was left to become.

I am not a fan of death. I don't like to think about it. And to know that this baby was left in such an irreverent undignified manner is just sickening.

I was shocked that so much was left.

I was always wondering about that one strand of hair left in the trunk. I had thought maybe Casey had attempted to clean--but then I keep remembering that her mother did her best to sanitize that vehicle. That a strand was left behind is an absolute miracle.

I wonder if they were able to compare that strand to what they found.:sad1:

Oh, those pictures are heartbreaking! Please, please, please let there be justice for Caylee! :sad1:

One thing to keep in mind when reading anything Casey wrote, whether it's letters or her diary, which of the 3 F's apply to what I'm reading? The 3 F's being:

*Fact
*Fiction
*Fantasy

She's a history of misrepresenting the truth. The act of penning her thoughts to paper doesn't add credence to her words. It's likely there is some truth in there somewhere and maybe even some wishful thinking. But 100% factual? My money is on not.

Just my opinion. :flower3:

i'm not sure what would be the best justice.

life in prison so that casey has to live the rest of her live in solitary and not get the attention she craves or the "free" live she thinks she's owed or death.

at what point does a baby killer finally understand what they did and then spend the rest of their live being tortured by their memories?

Call me crazy or whatever, but looking at Casey's personal photos, I think she looks NUTS! Part of it is due to that smirk on her face..like it doesn't seem natural. I'm probably the only one who thinks that.

I laughed when I read your post because I was thinking the exact same thing but I think it's the smirk on her face and the crazy eye combo. I would kinda describe it like this :eek::eek:

Honestly, I would much prefer life in prison. If she is sentenced to death, I think she will remain in the spotlight with her appeals. I would love to see her spend quite a few years in solitary and when her "fame" dies out and nobody is interested in her story, they can put her in with the general population where a few of the older prisoners will remember what she did to her daughter. I am sure that will lead to some "fun times" for her.

Very much agree...

The hair picture had me in tears :sad1:. There has to be justice for Caylee, there just has to be.

I don't even know what to say. That photo makes my heart hurt. That's the only way I can describe how I felt when I looked at it. If I was a juror, I would be crying uncontrollably, and would probably have to be removed. I don't know if Casey is capable of telling the truth but If she had any decency she would just admit what she did. She owes it to her family and most of all to Caylee so she can finally rest in peace. I pray Caylee gets justice.

The hair picture is so sad. :( I know they talked about hair "mats" that were found, but I never expected that much hair.

Is that normal for the hair to remain like that even after all skin and tissue is gone? Or did the duct tape help to preserve a lot of that? :confused3 I'm really surprised at the amount that they found with the skull.

Ding ding we have a winner. 23 hours in a cell maybe an hour in a private exercise pen. then gen pop.
