We had a local case back in '84 (Pawtucket RI) of a 4 MONTH old girl (Geri or Jeri Ann Richard) missing and then found dead (amongst other things
) near her home, and she was found with a blanket or cloth diaper "lovingly" placed under her head, in an alleyway. Strange, what people who "love" their children will do when they murder them.
BTW, the parents were charged with her murder (her father, "another" assault as well) and were supposed to be tried separately. The father was acquitted, and charges were then dropped against the mother. A very disturbing case.
I was saying to my DH today that if, after investing all this time and EMOTION into this case, and Casey is found not guilty, I feel like I'm going to suffer from PTSS!! Heck, I felt a little like that after following the Phil Spector trial (the first one) and it was declared a mistrial due to a hung jury. And I didn't even know who the heck Phil Spector was when I started watching! At least he was found guilty 2nd time around, altho InSession didn't carry that trial. I can't even begin to imagine how the prosecution/judge would deal with RETRYING Casey Anthony if there's a mistrial or hung jury. If they felt like they couldn't get an impartial jury before, than how in the world would they do it after all this? OK...I can't even go there right now.
