We had a local case back in '84 (Pawtucket RI) of a 4 MONTH old girl (Geri or Jeri Ann Richard) missing and then found dead (amongst other things ) near her home, and she was found with a blanket or cloth diaper "lovingly" placed under her head, in an alleyway. Strange, what people who "love" their children will do when they murder them.

BTW, the parents were charged with her murder (her father, "another" assault as well) and were supposed to be tried separately. The father was acquitted, and charges were then dropped against the mother. A very disturbing case.

I was saying to my DH today that if, after investing all this time and EMOTION into this case, and Casey is found not guilty, I feel like I'm going to suffer from PTSS!! Heck, I felt a little like that after following the Phil Spector trial (the first one) and it was declared a mistrial due to a hung jury. And I didn't even know who the heck Phil Spector was when I started watching! At least he was found guilty 2nd time around, altho InSession didn't carry that trial. I can't even begin to imagine how the prosecution/judge would deal with RETRYING Casey Anthony if there's a mistrial or hung jury. If they felt like they couldn't get an impartial jury before, than how in the world would they do it after all this? OK...I can't even go there right now.

Does anyone recall if the computer experts that testified discussed how Casey deleted pictures off of the computer? I don't recall if it was off of facebook or off of her hard drive. I just recall that it was mentioned that it seemed Casey had attempted to delete pics of her daughter.

Had a busy busy day with the kiddos and family and just finished catching up. You all have been busy here.

Wow...the blanket. Hadn't thought much about the blanket. Either it was at a sleeping time, and she got scooped up with the blanket to move, or it was like the sticker...a final expression of "love" (Casey style).

The only question I have about sleeping time is that she wasn't wearing pajamas. She was wearing a tshirt and shorts, right?

How weird that Casey makes up this name of Zanny almost two years earlier (maybe associated with the Xanex) and the day after her daughter disappears, a woman with the name Zanny fills out paperwork at an apartment complex that Casey is at. How bizarre!

Im not convinced that Cindy is telling the truth about this. Cindy is the only one who claims to have heard the Zanny 2 years ago. When the cops starting zeroing in on Casey and Cindy was believing Casey, she is the one that "verified" Zanny. Cindy did a lot of "covering up" and well, downright lying for Casey back then. Could it be its the one lie she is still hanging on to ? I mean, no mother wants to see their daughter in jail for the rest of her life.

This case has me thinking...

1. Make sure we check the front door (that we NEVER use) for notices
2. Sign out the duct tape to other family members and keep track of exactly what they used it for
3. Tell DH to react hysterically if I'm ever on the phone with 9.1.1. even if he has no idea what he just walked into
4. Follow my adult children to their jobs and nannies to be sure they're telling the truth

I'm sure there's more...MUCH more.

Yes, make sure you always look decent in public. There are cameras everywhere, especially at Target! You never know when your shopping excursion might make it on national TV!

I have been watching it as much as I can and when we were in Orlando last week I kept thinking about it. I watched it every night when we came in. It's just so sad, and Casey makes me sick! If she gets away with this it will be like another OJ case in my mind. I hope and pray that she is found guilty. I knew before, but after what has been said so far, how could there be any doubt?

While I have been watching, I keep thinking about her parents too. I wonder how they are dealing with this? I am telling you right now, I would not be supporting my DD if something like this had happened. I can't imagine that they are, but it has got to be so hard for them right now knowing that she is such a liar, and that she took that precious little girls life.

I am also so very impressed by the state and how well they are doing so far. The people that they have had to come in and testify have been the best in their field. At least the ones that I have seen anyway. I hope and pray that things continue to go well, and I pray that she gets what she deserves.

I'm watching Geraldo right now, and I'm trying to figure out why he is so pro defense. Last week he was saying that if Casey is found guilty, the verdict will be overturned because she didn't receive her Miranda rights. Tonight he is saying the verdict would be overturned because of Judge Perry allowing the animation of Caylee's face morphing into a skull. He seems to have a problem with most every peice of evidence the prosecution has introduced. And he has gotten kind of nasty with every guest who disagrees with his opinions. I find it so unusual for him to be buying the defense's farfetched version of what happened. I can only think of one possible explanation, which is that Geraldo is siding with his Latino "brother" Jose Baez. I'm not a big Geraldo fan, but I usually think he is somewhat intelligent and reasonable. It's just so bizarre the way he is acting concerning the CA case.

That's what totally makes me beyond sure that Casey did this. Anyone else would never dump a kid with a blanket or a toy because they have no emotional attachments to the child. They wouldn't care and would just want to dump the body (ie: a kidnapper). While a parent might have someone else dump the body for them, more than likely that parent is going to add a comfort (blanket, toy) for that child, you know?

Does anyone know if Casey tried to pull off a "my kid was kidnapped" scenario with the police?

Just a random question I was wondering about....I saw the Anthony's yard was dug up and pretty much destroyed when they were looking for Caylee. Do they get reimbursed somehow to fix that? Doesn't seem fair if they had to pay for the damage.

Those pictures just broke my heart. I'm not sure why I'm so affected tonight by them, I've seen almost all of them numerous times.

Does anyone know if the jury is present when JB has asked for a mistrial? How many times has he asked for one? To me, the only reason one would want a mistrial is if they don't have the truth on their side and they feel the best they can do is a hung jury or mistrial. I would think that sends a bad message to the jury - so that's why I wonder if they are present? (I'm thinking they are)

I have a confession...there were times when my kids slept in their clothes. If we were so busy, or out, or just a very tired night, if all I could do was to get them to brush their teeth, then changing them out of their clothes...esp when they were pre-school age or it was summer vacation...wasn't a big priority. And we never did get a very good account from Jose in his opening statement of when this actually happened.

I also do believe that some of what Cindy and George said early on was to help cover for Casey, never imagining they'd be where they are today.

Note to self: Never run to Target in crappy clothes and no makeup thinking chances are I won't see anyone I know, because I might end up on national TV anyway.

So it's a cold and rainy night, DH is in the man cave smoking cigars and listening to Frank (Sinatra) with the dog, and I've been surfing the Internet about...oh, I don't know...THIS CASE, and found this...letters TO Casey Anthony in jail, from her family.

wow. those letters are riveting. especially that last one. it broke my heart to read that letter. for all the people who said George had no reaction, it definitely explains WHY he had no reaction to those accusations Jose made against him in opening statements. he already knew for more than a year what they were going to say about him. sad. just sad.

But the roll he used was the same brand, right? That was supposedly discontinued (per a post on this thread) years ago? Not saying they couldn't have more than one roll, or that they couldn't be the same brand. Still, I'd like to know when that search was...will look back at testimony later. I'm assuming the prosecutors have it all under control.

Yep I think it was the same brand, etc. This is JMO, but George then using that same duct tape on posters shows to me that he probably knew nothing about it being used on Caylee - mainly because I don't believe as a former cop he would use anything incriminating a second time. That tape would have been long gone, not placed back in the garage for the next household repair, KWIM?

Also keep in mind that a knife was found in Casey's car, and everyone wondered why a knife would be in the car? Now the thinking is that maybe it could have been used to cut duct tape with? I am hoping that something will come out about some duct tape residue on it, but then also have to remember that Cindy washed this knife

I am still hoping that the prosecution is going to slam dunk something soon. For example, there are also some videos/receipts from Home Depot that haven't been released - and if one of those shows that Casey bought acetone (used in making chloroform) I will be

I ran across some of the letters but my eyes were crossing reading them, so I can't attest to the content. Robyn Adams' transcript was interesting, though. I mean, KC was in solitary, so how did they communicate? RA claims they started with sign language, moved onto passing letters through the book cart and later having a corrections officer allow them to meet...I dunno this all sounds too weird to me.

Ok I made it thru the first set of letters and you weren't kidding about them making your eyes cross!

Some items I picked out:

Page 13591--She talks about talking to Caylee everyday as she does daddy--Who's daddy?

Page 13621--Long joke about dead decomposing monkeys and what they tried to do to get rid of the bodies!!

Page 13629--Talks about writing books

Page 13631--Tells her pen pal to read II Chronicles 20:12--Said it gave her chills and she asks if it's a sign--Maybe talking about the rapture??

Page 13649--Talks about possible bio-dads of Caylees--Mentions "her dad" Erik,,then Jesse who she had sex with in January 05,,Erik is from Kentucky who she did it with in November 04


And WTH is up with the "sneezes"---She's convinced they're talking to her!

I did notice when she started talking about the "abuse" that her writing started slanting to the left--Before and after it was straight up and down.
