As an expectant Grandmother I have to say that if MY DD was leaving her child with a nanny that she claims was the nanny for a good friend, I'm not so sure I'd insist on meeting her. My parents never went to the daycare oldest DD went to a couple days/week. We all know how Casey can spin a tale, but I'm sure she was pretty convincing. And always seemed to be willing to have her parents meet some of the people she talked about and then "something" would happen. I don't know...hindsight is 20/20.

But it's definitely weird about Zenaida Gonzalez entering the picture. And they still don't know HOW she would have seen that card Zenaida filled out.

But, MaryAnn - Let me play devil's advocate to see if this fits YOUR circumstances:

- Your DD is a single mom with GD living in your home.
- You are providing financial support, house & care when you are not actively working outside the home.
- Your DD informs you she's given the "nanny" a key to YOUR home.

Wouldn't you have ONCE wanted to meet, speak with, or have current contact info for Zanny?

It's not so much putting the 2 parts in the same house as it is showing that the same brand of tape was in both places. Once that's established, then it becomes a question of HOW coincidental it might be. They're not going to be able to place that tape with that specific roll so it becomes a question of probability. As with the whole prosecution case, and as a PP said, it all comes down to the probabilities and as you amass more facts and details, the probabilities begin to narrow down as to who is responsible.

Wouldn't you have ONCE wanted to meet, speak with, or have current contact info for Zanny?

I would 100 % want to meet this person in those circumstances.

I would have an issue with the key, no matter what. NO ONE will have a key to my house, period. I'd change the lock if my kid did something that stupid. But, you can't totally compare me to Cindy and George...I'm normal-er. I can see someone being less diligent, esp the way Casey can spin a tale (because *I* can't see believing any of it, but I've never had to deal with a child of mine doing that ...I DON'T THINK! ) just falling for her stories and excuses about Zanny the Nanny. I don't think we can all compare ourselves that much to George and Cindy because we don't deal with someone like Casey. Many times I've thought people were idiots for who/what they believe, and then I actually found myself falling for an Internet scam, and let me tell you, I could NOT believe I did. I had become one of those normal-looking people you see on the news who fell for a scam, and you think "How could they?" Well, I did. Luckily, I was only out $6 (and had to cancel my credit card).

Wow. So there seemed to be Xanax aplenty available, AND Tonly recognized Casey's fake crying AND the only time he saw/heard her REALLY cry was when he told her he was moving back to NY. VERY interesting.

I just want to note for the RI police investigators that this post is why I'm now googling "Zani bars" and have no intentions of buying them or using them for illegal purposes. LOL

I really hope not.
Although "we" all know she is guilty, the jury should be able to be impartial until the end.....

You just KNOW that Tony is cursing himself for not going for a blonde or redhead instead of Casey. "I just had to get mixed up with THAT one!" And wishing his name was Joe Smith, or something a little less distinctive than it is. Of course, no one can hold a candle to the real Zenaida Fernandez Gonzalez for wishing she was plain old Maria Sanchez.

Well there is the definite tie to the Anthony home presented to the jury.

What was this definite tie? I was out today <sigh>... do I understand they did not find this brand of Hinkel duct tape in the home?

And then it was on national television!

If someone came in to take photo's around my house and they wound up on National TV I'd be horrified... I'm one clean person who lives with 3 messy one's... it's terrible

This case has me thinking...

1. Make sure we check the front door (that we NEVER use) for notices
2. Sign out the duct tape to other family members and keep track of exactly what they used it for
3. Tell DH to react hysterically if I'm ever on the phone with 9.1.1. even if he has no idea what he just walked into
4. Follow my adult children to their jobs and nannies to be sure they're telling the truth

I'm sure there's more...MUCH more.

I laughed out loud at this and then realized how preposterous this list is, and this is what Cindy and George should have done to save themselves from being on trial... how sad is that?

Don't forget to note the day and time your daughter starts her periods and take her to a gynecologist when she is 12 and has cramps!

Earlier in the proceedings, it was stated that the witnesses would be questioned chronologically, following the timeline of events as they happened. Any idea why Roy Kronk hasn't been questioned yet?

Kronk is not on the Prosecution's list, he is on the Defense list. I'd be curious who else is on that list...

I'd also be curious to hear whatever happened with stickers and duct tape being introduced today or anything else that was of great significance....

I had to leave while the attorneys and JP were discussing the stickers found in Casey's room. Did JP allow that evidence?

I don't think I'll be able to watch Kronk. Even if he didn't move anything (and the prosecution has done a good job convincing me he didn't), what is up with his calls in August? There has to be something there, otherwise the defense wouldn't want him testifying for them.
