Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

Casey Jordan (my favorite commentator) is saying that Casey is doing "scrunch crying"...scrunching up her face and dabbing at her eyes with a tissue. Possible she has shed a few tears, but it's not chronic, you don't see shuddering and a visceral response to any of this, and she's not even looking at the screen...just listening to the testimony. If there was real crying, her face would be wet, she'd have mascara streaks, and she'd have uncontrollable sobbing. Simms is rubbing her back and consoling; Casey right now is guilty of "drama queen".

I call these people "dry criers." NEVER trust a dry crier. Dry criers are doing everything possible to convince you they ARE indeed crying (scrunching up their face, wiping away nonexistent tears, bowing their heads, leaning into someone for "comfort," wobbling their chins and lips) but you will not see an actual tear emerge from the eye. Okay, every great once in a while, they manage to squeeze a teeeeeeeeeny one out, but if you were to match the ratio of tears you SHOULD see for the amount of face scrunching/nonexistent tear wiping, etc. going on, you would see rivers of tears flowing down the cheeks. And you don't.

Soap opera actresses do this a lot. Wobbly, pitiful "crying" voices and all the right "moves," but no tears. Dry criers. If Casey was crying as much as she was trying to make people THINK she was crying, she'd have soggy tissue, a red nose and snot peeking out from her nostrils. She's NOT crying, she's dry crying, which is solely for the jury's benefit.

Now I am not saying a person who DOES NOT CRY is a guilty person. Some people do not cry. I am saying those who work overtime to convince you they ARE crying when they most certainly are not (dry criers) are not to be trusted for one minute.

Hide and watch.

My DM does this, she also has Narcisstic personality disorder. It is a wonder of how many people it really works on.

Sending lots of prayers and pixie dust your way:grouphug:

Oh Kurby, so sorry to hear that. You will both be in my prayers!

I will keep you both in my prayers.

The person that I know that Casey reminds me of (serious lies, no conscience, etc.) can cry at the drop of a hat - absolutely uses it to their advantage with people who don't know better.

I hope things improve soon.

You're not alone.

thank you everyone - i will keep guys

Oh no. If you don't mind me asking...what's the plan? Will there be a team from NICU in the delivery room? Or will they try again to do something before birth? Lots and lots of prayers and .

well right now i have an appointment with the specialist tomorrow morning to discuss what comes next.

i will get ultrasounds done once or twice a week to see if the fluid is building up which is also causing the amniotic flutic to build up - apparently normally a pregnant women has about 1ltr i have about 3.5ltrs so he may take some out tomorrow morning.

We'll be taking it one day at ta time as to if they induse me early or leave her in. whatevers best for babe.

NICU will take her the second she is born - if we manage to do the procedure again and get the tubes in the still need to take her to clamp off the tubes and get her breathing. if we can't get the tubes in they will have to do that as soon as she is born so that she can take her first breath.

it's a total learning process - one i never imagined i'd have to do.

Is there any idea as to when Dr. G. might be testifying? I'm just curious, I never knew she was involved in the case until last week....

I agree with the assessment of the scrunch crying, it was a pathetic attempt at showing emotion...

Is anyone else completely turned off with Mason' gold 'ol boy folksy act? Ugh!

The media was saying "this week" so I assume that means by Sat., but that is just what they said so I don't know if it's true or not.

Bless your heart! That's a lot to deal with.

The longer Casey looks down, the worse of an acting job it is.

Catching up - Kurby hon my prayers are with you and your little one!

Emotional day here in court. Well, for those who can feel emotion. Thanks to all for keeping us busy bees updated!

 Prayers and thoughts go out to you and your precious baby!

the things that's killing me about casey is that you can only cry for so long - no matter what's happening, the death of your parent, child, bad news about your baby. eventually you stop crying but she has been "crying" all day.

if it was believable at 9am its not anymore. you're body just doesn't let you cry all the time all day long. eventually it shuts down.

If they were talking about my dd who was born exactly a week after Caylee I would be so sick. I am sick just listening.

Maybe she's using one of Lou Costello's Arabian Apples under her tissue to help her cry?
