I call these people "dry criers." NEVER trust a dry crier. Dry criers are doing everything possible to convince you they ARE indeed crying (scrunching up their face, wiping away nonexistent tears, bowing their heads, leaning into someone for "comfort," wobbling their chins and lips) but you will not see an actual tear emerge from the eye. Okay, every great once in a while, they manage to squeeze a teeeeeeeeeny one out, but if you were to match the ratio of tears you SHOULD see for the amount of face scrunching/nonexistent tear wiping, etc. going on, you would see rivers of tears flowing down the cheeks. And you don't.
Soap opera actresses do this a lot. Wobbly, pitiful "crying" voices and all the right "moves," but no tears. Dry criers. If Casey was crying as much as she was trying to make people THINK she was crying, she'd have soggy tissue, a red nose and snot peeking out from her nostrils. She's NOT crying, she's dry crying, which is solely for the jury's benefit.
Now I am not saying a person who DOES NOT CRY is a guilty person. Some people do not cry. I am saying those who work overtime to convince you they ARE crying when they most certainly are not (dry criers) are not to be trusted for one minute.
Hide and watch.
