Wouldn't it be funny if someone posted on the disboards....I'm on a jury and we are being sequestered in Orlando, wondering if anyone had tips on how to navigate disney without anyone talking, speaking or bringing up any current events & also we only get 2 15min breaks and an hour and a half for lunch, so fastpass tips would be great....Also, I'm having a hard time getting ADR's :rotfl:
:lmao:

Just a note - you won't believe how many cars end up hitting that wall. But it keeps them out of the lake.

I figured Casey was reading the DIS, giving Baez tips....

And EMom - :thumbsup2

I have another question for the regulars out there. ;) Do any of you think that the commentators on InSession or HLN - Jean Casarez, Vinnie Politan, Beth Karas, to name a few - actually believe some of the things they say? I have heard them say some complimentary things about JB - that he made some good points on cross, or that particular prosecution witnesses turned out to be helpful for the defense. I'm wondering if they really believe that or are just trying to appear impartial to either side. Are they like football announcers, who can't exactly go, "Woo-hoo! Another TD for the Packers!" Today they tactfully said that JB didn't do such a good job on cross with the dog handler. But I have never heard any one of them say what everyone of us on here are thinking about JB! Jean Casarez is the main one who does it. She says things that have me thinking, "Surely you're not buying that!" I'll never forget when JB got each CA friend to say what a good relationship she had with Caylee. Jean Casarez, in talking about it, said, "And that's not a murderer!!" Hello, Jean! Not all child killers (Susan Smith, Andrea Yates) had histories of child abuse or neglect.

Anyway, I'm just curious as to what y'all think! :)

I did not realize before how much dog indication can be utilized as evidence. I know that the indication leads to reasonable suspicion in an investigation, but had not been aware of it as evidence as it is presented here.

Obviously this means some dogs lend more credible evidence than others depending on their history of performance. Thus Linda spent much time on that history.

Jean C. Jst said a case could be overturned based on dog evidence,I think.

Canine handlers best record and document training and performance like crazy to establish credibility for cases.

Gerus and Bones are awesome. Long live the working GSD!

I agree, and for that very reason...TRYING to put out there that they're unbiased. I think Sonny Hostin is the worst as far as being PRO defense tho. She makes me nuts.

JMHO here...in a circumstantial evidence case like this, there's probably a lot of evidence that isn't 100% perfect...like the fact that cadaver dogs aren't infallible. I think it's just ALL the evidence together. If the cadaver dog hits were a major part of the case, with little else, perhaps it wouldn't carry as much weight. But together with the 6 people (so far) smelling the car and the other evidence, all the other evidence put together holds a lot of weight.

She was non-reactive from an earlier discovery at another location (blanchard park?) that turned out to be nothing. She was told that they found something and are checking to see if it was Caylee--her response was tantamount to someone being told the sky was blue. Nothing.

Oh yeah, I remember those times.

A lead investigator confirms that during one of those trips, Anthony blurted out "They haven't even found the clothes she was wearing" about those searching for Caylee.

What a strange (and sad) thing to say when your daughter is missing. :sad2:

JMO but I think that they are being careful because they think that JB will be one of their colleagues soon, so they can't bad mouth him too much :cutie: Just watch, bet'cha JB will start showing up as a commentator on some TV channel right after this trial is over :happytv:

I got a quick peek..........

Mrs. Casey Baez

Casey Anthony-Baez

Mrs. Jose Baez

Casey Marie Baez

Mrs. Casey Marie Anthony-Baez :yay::yay::yay::yay:

"the dog doesn't get a paycheck does he?"

BOZO

did he really ask that?

A little OT... but your post reminded me of a funny scene from Designing Women... lol!!

LOL, I loved watching DW and Julia going off on a tangent. That was an awesome show.

What happened to the original CA trial thread?

threads close after 250 pages and a new one has to start. Link to it is on page 1 of this thread.

That would be hilarious!

I'll tell you what though. In all seriousness, they ought to give those jurors a few days at WDW as a reward for a job well done after all the endless objections, sidebars, and mind numbing testimony they have to sit through. If anyone ever needed a little pixie dust, it's them.

Baez made me laugh when he was talking with the k9 trainer.

not per batum:
Um, part of the training is positive praise for your dog when he does an alert?

The witness, yes that's part of it.

So since the dog can't get paid, I think he was trying to imply that the dog would do a false alert just to get a good boy:confused3

yea, that's how those dogs work, what a jackwagon. Dogs who were bred or trained for certain things usually love to do the work. I can say the word"train" to my GSD and he is all ready.

I was never a big fan of that show, but that clip is one of the funniest things I've watched in a long time. Probably because it's pretty similar to what actually goes on in the jury room. That video needs to be require viewing for this thread. Thanks for sharing it.

I'm going to lookup Jose Baez on IMDB and see what other productions he's portrayed a lawyer in.

I arranged for the jury to eat at fusion today. No need to thank me.

So he thinks the dog is a con artist??? :rotfl2:

I hate I haven't been able to watch this stuff. My friend thought she broke her collar bone, and I had to take her to the ER. What was she thinking??? :confused3 ;)

Oh Lord, I hope not. I think he'll be part of a "How NOT to act in a courtroom" new attorney training film.

LOTS OF LINKS IN THE FIRST POST OF THIS THREAD (for any newbies who don't know).

Wow, I wish our dog was trained like that. He knows words like "cigar" and "garage" because it means he and DH are hanging out in their man-cave.

I remember after 9/11, when they weren't finding survivors anymore, the dog trainers would have people pretend to be trapped, so that the dogs could find them, because the dogs were getting depressed. :( Here's part of an article about that:
It was reported that as the weeks passed and the dogs searched for human remains, that some grew depressed when they could no longer find survivors. These heroic dogs are trained to find living people, not just the dead or body parts. The dogs grew stressed and disheartened as if they were unsuccessful. Workers started hiding among the twisted wreckage, under one or two steel beams, in mock rescues where the dogs would be thrilled again to find a living human.
I know it's a little different situation, but it just points to how well trained and eager to please they are, as in getting it right. They needed to be successful, not just get the pat on the head.

Her legs were fine...she couldn't walk? J/K!!! Hope she's OK!

did he really ask that?

He did ask that in relation when he said the dog worked for the handlers affection since he didn't work for a paycheck did he? Bozo...

Thanks for that update, I'm glad those men didn't die completely in vain, although such a sad case, I'm glad it potentially saved the lives of many others.

Thanks for posting that about the dogs, I had no idea, but I'm not at all surprised...
