Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

Just a guess but maybe in the backyard where the police dog reacted to a spot near the sandbox :confused3

Kronk was a meter reader so maybe he saw something he shouldn't have. Like Casey with a shovel :scared1:

And borrowed Casey's car to transport the body?

As unpopular as my response will be, what you say makes sense to me. In my opinion, the state hasn't proven a motive. The circumstantial evidence ls tremendous against Casey, but the defense did put that little twinge of premeditated doubt in my mind. Even with the googling of chloroform, the defense put it in my mind that it could have been for other reasons, like mixing drugs for a high. I just don't know.

I'm trying to be unbiased so I'm thinking everything out, but I admit bias does come into play when I see that baby and then see Casey partying on video. But that doesn't prove anything.

I could never be on a jury, because I'd go back and forth between wanting Casey to fry and knowing that anything is possible without absolute concrete proof, even the possibility that she didn't do it.

It's like all the pieces of a puzzle are there except for the one piece that shows you what the picture is. It may look 99% something, but without that one last piece, there's room for my assumptions being wrong.

I'm like you. I don't buy the motive that Casey didn't get along with her mom or, that she just wanted to be unburdened by Caylee. It would have been so much easier for Casey to just walk away from Cindy and Caylee if that was the case.

I am one of those people that just can't take things at face value. I look for other possibilities. In fact, I probably go to far, but until I get concrete evidence of something, I can't let go of other possibilities.

For example, when I served on a jury for a domestic abuse case, I just couldn't accept the state's position that the defendant just decided to stab his brother-in-law. In made no sense to me. Upon examining the evidence during deliberation, I discovered, in the medical records of the victim, that the stab wound was only a half inch deep and at an odd angle. That made no sense if someone was really trying to hurt someone. In the end, I presented my position on what had actually happened. I concluded that the victim actually ran into the knife the defendant was holding (he had been peeling an apple for his daughter) at the time the victim jumped on him. The defense did not explore this as a possible option. The other jurors thought it made sense and we found the defendant not guilty.

So, I take things a bit further than most. Of course, I could be totally off base, but I can't help but wonder. What were both Casey and George doing when Caylee was supposed to have drown that morning? What could be the reason that they could not just admit that they weren't paying attention and she got into the pool? What could be so terrible that they were afraid to call 911 to report the drowning? What terrible secret could come out? Could there be more to the relationship of George and Casey? Casey has hinted at abuse. Was there really abuse? Was it consensual...if it happened at all?

Of course, this is totally off the wall. And, I will admit that I don't care for George Anthony. Maybe, I am just twisted and need to write crime novels. :confused3

And borrowed Casey's car to transport the body?
And your issue with that is what? j/k!

Here's something about the new defense witness:

ORLANDO -- Hours before Casey Anthony's lawyers are set to start calling their first witnesses, the Anthony family's attorney has issued a statement regarding one witness the defense may try to link to her father, George.

The statement from attorney Mark Lippman follows:
—————————————————————————
Casey Anthony through her defense team has filed a last minute witness that they have just "newly" discovered. This defense motion has alleged that there were four points of contact on July 14, 2008, by telephone between Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson and my client, Mr. George Anthony.

Further, it has been identified through the Clerk of Court in Orange County, Florida, that Mr. Vasco Dagama Thomson has a criminal conviction.

Mr. Anthony has requested that following information be released to the media:

  1. Mr. Anthony does not know Vasco Dagama Thompson.
  2. Mr. Anthony does not recall ever speaking with Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson at any time including July 14, 2008, by any form of communication.
  3. Mr. Anthony does not recall ever receiving telephone calls from Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson including on July 14, 2008.
  4. Mr. Anthony does not recall ever calling Mr. Vasco Dagama Thompson. including on July 14, 2008.
  5. The Defense has failed to identify who initiated the telephone calls.
  6. The Defense has failed to identify the length of time of each telephone call.
This simply appears to be another attempt by the defense to attack my client. Mr. Anthony has and will continue to maintain the position that he had nothing to do with the death of Caylee Marie Anthony, or any of the events that occurred afterward regarding the actions of the Defendant Casey Anthony established by the State of Florida in the presentation of their case.
Per HLN commentators...George's cell phone records have been available and scrutinized for 3 years...why is this coming up now, just as the defense is about to present their case?

I have been thinking of possible career choices when my kids are grown and have crossed meter reader, tow truck driver and event planner at Universal. Too much room for problems. ;)

Then why didn't he come forward sooner? Why wait until August to say he found something and call 3 or 4 times and then call again when what he saw in the summer was still there but now he actually got close enough to see what it was? He had nothing stopping him from reporting what he saw BEFORE it even became a huge case.

If Casey has a shovel, then you are suggesting Caylee was dead? How did she die?

Kronk sees her with a dead body and a shovel and his first instinct is to take the body and hide it? And Casey doesn't say anything cuz he's doing her a favor, right? They are in it together?

And we know all this cuz Casey said so perhaps?

This was a hot topic a couple years ago and it kind of went away after someone figured out it was George dialing the wrong number. He had just started a new job and had the number wrong in his phone. Vasco had returned the missed calls to see who it was. If I remember he was off by 1 number to his work location.

Not sure why they are bringing it up now :confused3 maybe there is more to it?

Oh, Casey ... you couldn't pull off a simple lie. What makes you think you could pull off something more complicated like planning an event at Universal? :sad2: Cashier might've been more belivable but noooo ... pants on fire had to fake having a high-profile position.

Pee-meditation in the state of Florida doesn't mean that Casey had to be planning Caylee's death for several months, the second piece of tape is pre-meditation, the third piece of tape is pre-meditation, the placing her in a garbage bag is pre-meditation. Everything done after the first thing that could have caused death can be used as pre-meditation....as I understand it.

Reward money

Is it entirely possible that Kronk stumbled upon Casey with dead Caylee and Casey said "You didn't see this. Wait awhile then find the body and collect the reward money and if you say something about this, then you'll be an accomplice to murder"? She could've also incriminated him if he chose to say what really happened? Maybe Kronk agrees to do it for reward money, goes to visit Caylee's burial site to make sure she's still there and hidden until he can get someone on the scene?

Died in the pool.

Kronk came back for the body after he heard she was "missing" and there was a reward.

Not in on it together.

Hey folks I think I should mention that I think Casey is guilty. I'm not yet sure of what but I do blame her for Caylees death and I want her to pay.

It looks like I have taken on the role of Devil's Advocate on this thread. That's not the case at all. I just think it's a good idea to look at both sides before you send someone to the chair ;)

She claimed to be an event coordinator at universal which is simply an hourly waged worker. I've done it myself a few times. You don't really "plan' anything. You just set up barriers or ropes in the event area and direct the attendees to the correct area. Or hand out tickets to TNA/Impact wrestling events, etc. I work in guest services and have helped out as an event coordinator several times. It's hardly a glamourous job. It is step up from taking the photos for Color-Vision though which was where she worked before Caylee was born.

So Casey was lucky enough to be found by someone who was willing to go along with such a story?

Remember, the jury needs "reasonable" doubt. Not "it's so far out there but it could've happened" doubt.
