Casey Anthony TRIAL thread #2

Linda Kenny Baden is saying that Judge Perry is into "showbiz"...is making every single ruling against the defense, and has made a bunch of reversible errors in his decisions.

I don't agree. And on top of that, she rants and raves like a rabid dog...does she really think that it helps get her point across? Talk about being into showbiz!

The witness is being called by the defense (and has said he doesn't know George)...it's not the witness putting himself out there.

True... but cant imagine why they would be calling on him when they have had the records for 3 years, it was a mistaken phone number dialed. Guess my initial thought was they guy had to come up with new information for the defense to want him.

And what threats could li'l ol' Casey make towards Kronk, that would compel him to perform a criminal act such as hiding a dead child's body?

Death threat? I don't know. I'm trying to think like a crazy person a la Casey. It's very difficult to think like a crazy person when you're sane.

I have a strange question.
If Casey said she worked at Universal and lied about it for such a long time, where did she get money from? Her parents didn't notice she was broke all the time.:confused3
I know that she had fraud charges and stuff but that was later right?
Someone enlighten me please

How about she stole it?

How about she stole it?
Porn? There were allegedly some pictures that allegedly made George literally sick when he saw them. I saw one, that sure did look like her and an...um...a guy, but could be photoshopped. :confused3

Wouldn't the only concrete proof of anything be a confession or a video of the crime? All cases are circumstantial based on the evidence.

I know. That's why I'd suck as a juror.

They don't need to prove motive but I believe they did when they went though the 31 day timeline. Being free of responsbilities, able to party, go to PR, sleep around, etc. without have the "little snot" around was her motive, IMO. You know, live the "good life".

But Casey never showed any sign that she thought of Caylee as a "little snot" . Everyone has testified that she was a good mother, they showed photos of them happily together, it was documented there was no sign of abuse by Casey etc.

I am one of those people that just can't take things at face value. I look for other possibilities. In fact, I probably go to far, but until I get concrete evidence of something, I can't let go of other possibilities.

So, I take things a bit further than most. Of course, I could be totally off base, but I can't help but wonder.

This is exactly how I am.

It looks like I have taken on the role of Devil's Advocate on this thread. That's not the case at all. I just think it's a good idea to look at both sides before you send someone to the chair ;)

Nothing wrong with being a Devil's Advocate. It keeps us thinking. :thumbsup2

Have any of you seen the the old movie 12 Angry Men? (Henry Fonda and a boatload of stars of that time). The were a jury on a cut and dry murder trial. All the circumstantial evidence pointed that the guy was guilty as sin. They all were sure the guy did it, except for one juror who wanted to take more time to look at the evidence, to re-enact the crime, to question his fellow jurors non-stop with alternatives. It turned out the guy was innocent according to some concrete evidence having to do with a witness being mistaken about what she heard. If it wasn't for that one juror challenging the OVERWHELMING circumstantial evidence, that guy would have been put to death.

Question: why the heck would Casey google shovel??

I think the defense made the drowning claim, the George claim, and the Kronk claim in the opening without REALLY knowing what the prosecution was going to present during their case. Now they are kinda screwed to prove all that in order to create reasonable doubt for their client to be not-guilty. I mean if Caylee wasn't in Casey's trunk then MAYBE they could pull the Kronk thing off (not in my mind). Or if Tony had said George abused Casey, maybe that would fly, or if Cindy hadn't got on stand and said she was so certain that she put the ladder up, etc. Or if they had gotten everyone to agree with them that the duct tape wasn't on there before Caylee died (they probably were not fully expecting the mandible claims, etc.). What they claimed in the opening just doesn't make sense now, though, after everything we heard.

And wasn't she part of the defense team when they went on 48 Hours, or was that a different blonde?

This doesn't surprise me at all. However, she either had a ton of cash stashed from this or was broke as a joke. Did she do this often or once or twice. Reason I'm asking is she had to get the money to support her lifestyle from somewhere and with the relationship she had with mommy and daddy I sincerely doubt they would have funded her party girl life. It ain't cheap bein' a ho.:rotfl: She could have stole it but someone would have noticed that kind of cash being gone.

I also saw that photo and it looked real to me.:scared1:

Prostitution? Stripping? Do those "hot body" contests pay?

It doesn't.

That HE moved the body.

That HE put the tape on Caylee.

Reward money
Ok, so Kronk took the body from the back yard for the reward. Problem is at that point, there was no reward. He would have had to have taken it or followed Casey and taken it from the car? For a reward that at that point didn't exist? The reward wasn't created until after July 16. Sorry, but breaking all kinds of laws by following the Anthony's to steal a body for a reward that didn't exist doesn't seem like a good way to go for the defense..

This was a hot topic a couple years ago and it kind of went away after someone figured out it was George dialing the wrong number. He had just started a new job and had the number wrong in his phone. Vasco had returned the missed calls to see who it was. If I remember he was off by 1 number to his work location.

Not sure why they are bringing it up now :confused3 maybe there is more to it?
Red Herring. Takes the attention off the defense

And what threats could li'l ol' Casey make towards Kronk, that would compel him to perform a criminal act such as hiding a dead child's body? Is there evidence that their meter was read within those few days? Is this your lipreading? Or do you have a link to the video or the comments? Interesting.Well, you certainly SOUND like you're making sense. LOL Yup, I agree.

No, I don't have a video. It was on that Vinnie show in HLN. It was a video from Dr G and it happened to be a split screen. I saw Casey's lips moving and rewound. What I posted was my best guess of what she said to Simms. I am off by a small word or two, but that was the gist.

Fortunately, crime scene science and protocols have advanced in 50 years. I think we also have better script writers. :)

Is it entirely possible that Kronk stumbled upon Casey with dead Caylee and Casey said "You didn't see this. Wait awhile then find the body and collect the reward money and if you say something about this, then you'll be an accomplice to murder"? She could've also incriminated him if he chose to say what really happened? Maybe Kronk agrees to do it for reward money, goes to visit Caylee's burial site to make sure she's still there and hidden until he can get someone on the scene?

Again, no reward as no body had been reported missing.

To the bolded part of this response: Does anyone know how many days of the year did Casey actually spend with Caylee? It seems like George and Cindy were doing most of the raising of Caylee, especially if Casey didn't have a job to take care of Caylee. It is easy to be a good mom when you are only doing it for the fun things and not full time.

If she did any more of the porn photo that we saw, I can see her making money just on selling those shots without needing the hot body contests.
