I'm hopin' the prosecution whips out forensics of the duct tape with Casey's skin cells right smack dab in the middle of all 3 pieces used on Caylee.

Not sure that's how it worked. I have to look this up but I dont think an actual sticker was found. What the csi people said that there was residue (like the sticky part of a sticker) on the duct tape in the shape of a heart. The sticker wasn't actually there, just the residue it left behind.

If Im wrong, hopefully someone will correct me.

Andrea Yates wasn't capable of deciding what to cook for dinner, let alone deciding whether having a 5th child and bringing on a psychotic state was a bright idea or not. That's where the "in sickness and in health" part comes in. It was HIS responsibility to make that decision and take care of her.

Seriously, if we'd been told by doctors that ANY pregnancy at all...even a first one, in our case.......was going to cause me to become psychotic, my DH would have said having bio kids was not worth the risk to me and would have gotten a vasectomy ASAP. There wouldn't have even been a question about it. And if we'd been the parents of four precious children already.....Well, DUH!

Truly, I cannot imagine Andrea Yates being in any condition to be an enthusastic participant in the making of #5, when you get right down to it. She was a mess. It's just sick. She was let down by more people than I can count, and 5 children are dead because of that.

ITA. I had mild PPD after both of my children, and quite honestly it made me look at cases like this (Yates, not Casey!) differently.

What's the scoop with the sticker anyway? I think it was Mason I heard say (in his annoying tone) at some point (pre-trial) that THERE WAS NO HEART SHAPED STICKER on the duct tape. When I looked up the evidence back then about the sticker, what I read was that there was sticky residue in the shape of a heart, matching the same shape as stickers from the house, or was it from kiddie sunglasses or something? Anyway, what is the defense saying about contamination? Is it something about the sticker coming off?

Anyone find themselves being "possessed by Casey" watching this trial's testimony? What I mean is...I'm sitting here, and in my head doing "WWCS?"..."what would Casey say?" Every bit of evidence, I'm just picturing what tale she'd spin, without missing a beat, to explain it all.

OT, but one day every lawyer that walked into the office kept going on and on about this scary defendant downstairs. It was almost comical, because every single person that walked in told the same story, without realizing we'd all heard it from the previous umpteen people. Apparently, the female defendant was downright evil looking and was shooting voodoo death stares at every single person in the courtroom......the judge, any attorneys, bailiffs, other defendants, even her own attorney. She was giving major heebee jeebees to everyone. She was psychotic and that only added to the scary factor.

Finally, I had to go into the courtroom. They all razzed me, warning me to get ready for the death stare and when we walked in, they were all primed for her first evil glare at me....a fresh, new target. She heard the door open, turned around, saw me and broke out into this blissful, happy, sweet-faced grin and just beamed at me. Heads were snapping around to see WTH was going on and just who or what was causing this female Tasmanian Devil to act like a choir of angels was singing backup behind the newcomer.

When she had to turn back around, the evil, angry death stare returned. No one else got the "angel stare" all day. It drove the other lawyers crazy, trying to figure out WHY she reacted that way to ME. I never had a clue.
