Oh no! Can't you get wftv and watch the daily coverage, and on the DIS to talk about it? ;) J/K! There is life outside of the CA trial! (Right??? ;))

yep, no international unlimited data plans... How rude!

BTW, anyone else find it amusing that the WESH stream plays the Universal Studios webcam during recesses?

Skyfire is probably wondering why their sales have spiked in the last two weeks.

Although in fairness it can be used for other things besides this trial. It can, right? Lol

I hope so LMAO! Not sure when Ill need flash again, but a girls got to do....

That was a case of psychotic post postpartum depression. Very rare, but terrifyingly real.

OMG, I can't believe that Mason just said something to her about facing the jury when she answers. I thought he was smarter then that. I'm just in shock. Are him and Bozo trying get the jury to hate them?

The Andrea Yates case is the only one in which I thought she should not be found guilty, but instead placed in a mental institution. What I truly believed is that her DH should have been the one in prison.

If you ever looked at the progression of photos of her, from her teen and young adult years to the time she killed her children, it was heartbreaking. She was a pretty, healthy, happy, cheerful looking woman who by all accounts was full of life and loving and giving. Devoted to her kids. As the years passed, and with each pregnancy, she got worse and worse. She became gaunt and literally a shadow of her former self. Any spark that had ever been in her eyes was gone and she just wasn't "there." Her mind was gone.

If you have ever, even once, been around a truly psychotic person, they will scare the beejesus out of you because when you look in their eyes, you realize they just aren't in the same world as us. It's frightening and pitiful at the same time, especially if you know that person USED to be completely normal.

When she had the 4th child and went from postpartum depression to full blown psychosis, the doctors told her and her DH in no uncertain terms that she should never have a baby again. That she would become psychotic again and it might be even worse. Any decent, loving DH would have run to the doctor and gotten snipped. But nooooooo, he just had to have another kid. She was in no shape to make an informed decision. Someone (her DH) needed to think and act for both of them and protect her physical and mental health.........and now we know, by extension, that of the children. He failed miserably. Why have one more child, knowing your wife will become psychotic? They already had 4 beautiful, healthy children and she needed help, not another baby and the psychosis it would bring.

By all accounts, any time she starts to make any progress, she realizes the full impact of what she had done and it sets her back again. It's a vicious cycle. If she's medicated enough to make her well enough, she is overcome by what she's done and has to deal with it over and over again. She will be in hell forever. Meanwhile, he's gone on, remarried and started a new family. :headache:

For some reason I still have Universal webcam on WESH but the WFTV stream is up

I feel the same way, the husband should have been the one put in jail. I hope she is getting the help she needs.

Eeewwwwwww! That was an annoying sound.

I also agree about Yates' husband. I always blamed him!

On to the rotting garbage....

OMG, VERY amusing! Someone being funny?! Or just not realizing the irony? I wonder.

I was in tears reading that. I saw that pig of a husband on Dr Drew last night when I was flipping channels, and I had to change the channel. He makes me sick.

2) I swear sometimes Casey looks like she's watching the videos as if she's watching someone else. I mean, she turned to one of her lawyers at one point and said something...I'm picturing her saying "That's not me."

Don't know if you saw the Oprah show when she interviewed Sarah Ferguson, Oprah noted as well as Sarah that Sarah referred to herself in the 3rd person, didn't acknowledge she was caught takin' bribes to see Andrew.

didn't he tell her that he wanted to have more kids with her when she got out?

maybe i'm remembering that wrong but i remember being very angry at him for being so incredibly selfish. it was all about him and his need for more more more

Uh oh. Didn't anyone tell this witness that it pisses off the defense when a witness talks TO the jury?! ;) Wonder if Mason or Baez will call her out on it.

She's a pretty girl, Mason might flirt and call her darlin'.... Baez will just smirk and flirt!

Ew, I can picture it. They're both so icky.

So this witness got to pull Casey Anthony's hair. I'm jealous!

Andrea Yates wasn't capable of deciding what to cook for dinner, let alone deciding whether having a 5th child and bringing on a psychotic state was a bright idea or not. That's where the "in sickness and in health" part comes in. It was HIS responsibility to make that decision and take care of her.

Seriously, if we'd been told by doctors that ANY pregnancy at all...even a first one, in our case.......was going to cause me to become psychotic, my DH would have said having bio kids was not worth the risk to me and would have gotten a vasectomy ASAP. There wouldn't have even been a question about it. And if we'd been the parents of four precious children already.....Well, DUH!

Truly, I cannot imagine Andrea Yates being in any condition to be an enthusastic participant in the making of #5, when you get right down to it. She was a mess. It's just sick. She was let down by more people than I can count, and 5 children are dead because of that.
